  1. Looks great! Brings back some fond memories of the one I drove for a Sinclair Gas station.
  2. I don't even know if I want to chime in here, but "transfer punches"is what I'd use. They have a point at the end and you TAP them to mark a spot on the surface of whay you want to drill a hole in. I don't know if a set would even have the sizes you require.
  3. I'd like a 1/12th Bandai STP race car....
  4. Not much of a RR fan,but yours look like they might be streetable. A very productive year and the garage scenes are killer!
  5. Nothing to be ashamed of there!! What a fantastic year ! Keep it going in 2015.
  6. She has her own place. So far I have installed a Laminate floor, helped her repaint inside, Made various fixes to the HW heater, and furnace. She has her own key
  7. I'll probably build nothing since my GF is back.
  8. Nice build-ups Ken. Looks like a very productive year!!
  9. You might look at the tractor that came in the STP lotus 56 form MPC/AMT. It might give you some feel for the scale and yield some useful parts.
  10. This thread was started in 2010..... He's probably STILL waiting for that body!
  11. I still prefer testing on a plastic spoon. That idea of the bottoms or backs sides of parts from the same kit is great too. Another technique is actually dipping a piece of the sprue from the same kit in the paint your using. If it passes that acid test I wouldn't worry.
  12. "plus a tube of 3M adhesive" Made my day Thank you!
  13. That turned out nice! Glad to have helped out.
  14. So is this show "Jerry-rigged" (sorry jus' couldn't help it)
  15. That first link illustrates Bill E's text perfectly.
  16. I'm attempting to add the rear styline part and retain the opening trunk. It looks like it will be a challenge. After this, I'm going to look into adding opening trunks on later model vettes, like '63 ,shark era etc. I think a real challenge would be a trunk in a fastback. I don't like the custom top either. Those openings with clear fillers looks wonky.
  17. The car I drive now I used a Carfax report on and it verified everything the dealer said, and they backed it up when at 50,000 miles Pep boys said it needed total front end rebuild. Carfax covered it with a $1200.00 payment to PB. I bought the Carfax lemon guaranty for about $200.00.
  18. My carport and patio would look nice like that. How much do you charge per sq. ft. and do you take plastic (models)
  19. I'd say it's someone that gets his or her kicks over a bunch of.... speckalatin' over 'dem 'dat trees a growing where thar ain't no way ,
  20. After trying a 500 using the roof from the MPC 500, and one with all Revell parts, I'm well on my way to another version using the Mpc kit for the body and interior, and the running gear from AMT Road Runner. This will be a Phantom/fantasy build as I plan on trying something with 1968 style side markers. I have a new ISP (COX) and my computer may let me handle posting photos less of a pain.
  21. So I pulled out some old stuff from the vault and found a 1962 vette kit with the opening trunk and all the styline stuff. The custom front was already on it,so the the die was cast. As I finished up reattaching and finesseing the front I looked at the custom rear end and didn't like the fact that using it,and the custom roof would have me lose the opening trunk. I may cut out the plastic that would block the trunk. so what is the opinions, did vettes lose or gain by not having a trunk? rut -row I think I just asked a question.
  22. When I lived in a house and had the room all kinds of separate stereo for me. Bought a pair of Bose 901's in 1972 and had them all the way thru 2008. Sold them and most all of the equipt, AND my albums, but they went to friends and other audiophiles so I feel good. I did hang on to two PL 600's (turntables) but haven't used them. Now that I live in cardboard box I listen to an old nine transistor radio. AM only. Jest kidding I have a Bose radio and NO television!!!!
  23. Nice diagram of a aerosol spray can and valve. Working for a spray valve company maintaining the machines that assembled them was a pleasant reminder of simpler times for me.
