  1. Okay thanks I'll start the search.
  2. I didn't realize you wouldn't mind ordering. There is a chance that you will get old stock which for foil isn't a good thing. I'm in the east valley (lindsay & Broadway) and have some sheets on hand. I wonder how good they'll be when I go to use it.
  3. I have the Flintstone Chrysler 300C Magnum wagon What is kit # 38367? by AMT. Thanks and hope you had a safe and happy 4th (we need an American Flag icon)
  4. Good to see this build up and review. Just got two kits Friday. Gonna put some big wheels on it and listen to the howlin'
  5. Phew! I need a smoke after seeing all these '34's
  6. He's from the UK and Revell does make/packages paint, glue etc. in Europe.
  7. Very nice collection. Your name looks familiar, did you ever attend the Hillside show Put on by Tom Lima? Who made the the altered WB cars. I'm familiar with a Plymouth but wasn't aware of any others. About your display. I found foam board with a styrene face both sides. Contact Foamboardsource and check it out. It may be sturdier
  8. I remember ordering a pizza and the delivery guy eyeing my models in a display case and saying "wow nice display, are they worth a lot of money" Without hesitating I said not really maybe 100.00 for the whole deal.
  9. I dont know how far you are from Hobby Depot, but Suzanne will order almost anything for you if you ask and will call or email you when it's in. It's really hard to stock a wide variety of stuff and items with shelf life are even worse.
  10. A modeler on another forum showed a plexi-glass box he built with a slanted front top, sides with holes big enough for hands to slip thru,a cutting mat interior floor and a large magnifier (Like for a full page on a book) and that was where he did all his P.E. applications. This was on 1/43 car models.
  11. Got two today! Online Dealer I'll put a Fairlane bumper on the rear Seems to me i've seen those guards as separate pieces somwhere.
  12. Very nice build! I built the low tech one a few years ago, but had some trouble with my paint attacking the plastic. A likeness in resin or vinyl might be available in a "garage"kit. It seems all the icons of TV and movies get done and usually if a good looking female helps
  13. Thank you for that link. They are taking orders for an August 2015 delivery. THEM said 'dat
  14. I always like that description for "decanting".
  15. THAT was Just what I was wondering too.
  16. At 16 years old your going to tackle this?
  17. I can see you ordering by the case?
  18. I don't know why everyone jumps on the Aircraft Stripper bandwagon. I've used Citristrip a orange colored stripper you brush on. There are no fumes, unpleasant odor ,and it flushes down the drain without any problems. You can even use it in the house or garage.
  19. Just looked in on this build-up... Really Breathtaking!!!
  20. I was looking thru my 1/43rds and I have that same kit! The raw body looks to be in better shape, maybe that was toward the end of that mold.
  21. I use and reccommend the orange scented stripper at Home Depot and others. Has stripped metal clean where others did not. You can use it in your house and wash it off in the sink. By it in the jug and brush it on. After you strip the paint though you may be shocked at why it was so thick. Some diecast really look bad under that paint.
  22. Try acetone. Chemist at 3M suggested that. There is a limit as to it's use though.
  23. I've been using PPG products for a long time now. DCA468 Hi-performance clear, and DTL105 thinner. The owner of Cobra Colors opened my eyes to these products. Air Brush only.
  24. Could you roll out a small slab of clay and lay it over the engine then press the cover down lightly and get an impression in the clay? It may show you whats hitting. It doesn't have to be clay either but I'm at a loss of some other method.
  25. I use a dehydrator to speed up everything, Lacquer, enamel etc . just don't leave any masking tape on those multicolor paint jobs.
