  1. Your an example of why it is sooo hard to make up a list of great model builders. This is fabulous!!
  2. All this is happening using Firefox with PB . I haven't tried the bulk uploader with Safari & PB. I'll be going to a local Apple store to see what they suggest short of a new computer. That's not priority now. thanks for the responses!
  3. Protect the decals with Future floor finish. AKA Pledge with Future shine. I decaled the ALA KART and sprayed Future over the decals, then shot PPG lacquer clear thinned with PPG lacquer thinner and there was no damage.
  4. Just getting thta one built, let alone as well as that is a major coup.Great work!!
  5. Those wheels look exactly like the wheels that came in the AMT '32 Ford original issue. I haven't had a recent re-issue,but maybe they were in later ones,or maybe someone re-popped them.
  6. Here's whats happening. I have a free photobucket account and have been uploading to this for a while with no problems. Now a couple days ago I was trying to upload some pics and saw they have a bulk uploader for Mac. I tried to use it,went thru all the motions and finally get to the end and it says the bulk uploader doesn't support my OS-X 10.4 system.(my mac is from 2005,and uses the power PC chip, not intel) I have also been getting error warnings when I do an upload in the usual way that the file didn't load ,yet there it is later. Anyone use an older mac and a photohosting site that supports it ? I know PB is a free service and I probably should be content that I'm getting some use from it,except they keep wanting me to pay and go to their pro service.
  7. I agree. Probably the only thing "protesting" were the strings on the guitar.
  8. Drew. ask about the decals at the Aircraft Resource Center( A.R.C.) Nice plane buy the way and one of my favorites too.
  9. My pics without reservation are: Modelhaus, R&MoM,Missing Link, Time Machine RMR, Jimmy Flintstone. There are probably others. My Pics with some reservation: R&R & Hendrix(buy at shows or from Star models) Perry's Excellent product, but questionable customer service.Buy at shows. The only Not at All would be RR And AFX(I don't care how good it is!) There are some niche casters too like Fisher and Quikskins that produce excellent castings of niche products. I have BOXES of resin awaiting build time if anyone wants to know about them just ask.I might have it and could review it.
  10. Very nice restore on a built-up.Color looks great. I learned how to drive on a '63,but it was 4-door Newport.
  11. Bondo Professional glazing putty. In a tube with a small container of catalyst. Otherwise some Tamiya or Squadron putty. Use properly, thin coats and allow to dry.
  12. Lots of drama about the size of the motor. When finished well I don't think it would be mistaken for a Hudson
  13. Hey was that Mr. Ed draggin' that sulky.... WIILLLLBBBUUURRRR
  14. When I went to a swap meet in Hillside,IL and saw almost all adults 1987-8. Picked up a few kits and some SAE mags.
  15. Use the 30-minute,as the 5 minute stuff just yellows too much. I also found quite by accident that epoxy really is much easier too work with when warmed a bit.
  16. Mine didn't really let it get away... I let it go! 1966 Chevy II SS L-79 optioned. 327,4-spd Muncie, Hurst comp + shifter, Corvette pointless ign. 12 bolt posi w/4:88, Corvette rallys all around Dougs(or Hookers can't remember) headers,Custom multi leaf rear springs and a snubber with 50/50 curerides Scary fast ride.
  17. X2 On the MCW resin Catalina!
  18. You can dip/ apply Future to the clear part and that would protect it from CA. You can also use clear epoxy. You could also use a clear acrylic, like Future, to bond it. It all depends on how strong the bond needs to be.
  19. Great work! Concept/dream cars are some of my favorites.
  20. I've used several stripping products to remove vacuum metallizing(chrome). I've settled on ammonia as I believe the clear coat underneath is an aqueous acrylic, and very safe to use. As an aside,I also use some very fine steel wool to polish the plastic before and after.
  21. It might be available in spray under their Railroad Colors line.
  22. Taht interior shot would be a good one for Real or Model! Nice work.
  23. It looks smashing! Your foiling looks good to my eyes. Do you have some sort of device to hold the model steady when foiling?
  24. WOW! This is scary. I went right to it! It's little pricey though. http://www.ottofrei.com/store/Pepe-Tube-Bender.html?page=1
  25. The o-ring material probably inhibited the rubbers cure. I was on a jewlery site one time, and thye had a tool to make rings.I'll see if there is anything worth while.
