  1. The illustration alludes to the inclusion of spoke rims - perhaps that's one of the improvements ? Those would be tough to replicate in-scale unless they're two-piece (?) Well, if nothing else, the engine - one of Revell's strong points - is worth the purchase alone.
  2. These AI answers must the equivalent of "graven on the tablets" to folks. As a Gen-Xer , I recognised that too much reliance upon technology was here (some +/- 40 years ago), and I wanted as little as possible to do with it. Of course my ignorance and apathetic nihilism was my downfall ( Born To Lose ). I work with kids that're 20-30 years old. I recognise some of the finer points of their electronic knowledge (for lack of a better term) ; to wit : I'll ask if the ones who're musicians (there's a couple) if they know of a particular group, sound, etc. - and they surprise me , pleasantly, with their familiarity of the more obscure bands / artists and/or instruments ( White-Parsons B-Bender , for an instance ). To the original post : apparently the AI 'bot isn't familiar with manual valve body automatics.
  3. No record this time ??? I'll likely get one anyhow. If the original from c.1968 was considered fiddly (to be nice), I can only imagine that the ad sequitur releases have become more , well , run hard & put away wet. Still going to buy one.
  4. I would also recommend that you lay a self-etching primer over the bare metal. I'm fairly confident that the Tamiya primers are safe for white metal ; not sure about brass nor other "soft" metals. I'm sure that @Ace-Garageguy will chime in with an educated -and well-composed - answer.
  5. As I understand Welsh orthography, there's no "K" / "k" , as the "C" / "c" is pronounced as a "K" / "k". Well, at least in Middle and Modern Welsh... Latin-based languages don't typically employ "K" / "k" ( yes, I've seen Gælic employ that letter ; "I" / "i" pronounced as "J" / "j" as well.) I wish that I knew more about the Celtic languages ; wish that I could speak / understand at least one regional dialect.
  6. Yus... albeit 'generic'. I just dig on those Celtic languages - they're part of me lineage.
  7. First gas (not diesel) crunch was from late October 1973 - March 1974. Then again from 1979 - 1980. I've got my eyes on that two-tone Duster : EW1 white with FE5 red painted roof with matching interior !
  8. '58 - '63/'64 , IIRC. Good call. A detail which I'd forgotten to note.
  9. Baron Samdi's on your tail / I'm the lover of the Bayou .
  10. 1967 Barracuda upholstery ( I recommend to anyone that they peruse this site for all things MoPar ) :
  11. Revell's Chrysler B/RB engines (1969 Dart, 1968 Darts, 1968 Chargers, 1969 Chargers) are mighty fine. The air cleaner from a '64-'66 (the single four barrel) would be correct - not sure if any resin casters offer them ? Valve covers are different ; 1969 & earlier , 1970 - 1978 . PCV and breather switched sides for '70. The aforementioned Revell engines also include nice 727 Torqueflites.
  12. Blwyddyn Newydd Dda ! MMXXV
  13. Tropic of Cancer was a Boston favourite... as well as George Costanza's gym teacher ( "Can't-stand-ya !")
  14. Emmy & Tao , 30-12-2024
  15. 1971 Road Runner from The Friends of Eddie Coyle . The novel mentions that the car is a dark metallic blue (and is a '68-'69 model) - good call on Peter Yates on sourcing a Curious Yellow '71 for the film adaptation .
  16. The Monkees Head is a fun film, whose title is a pun about the Andy Warhol Film whose title I can't present here
  17. On The Corner by Miles Davis is a pure delight
  18. I can see me grabbing a couple of those : 1.) SD-396 2.) L-79 (fictitious ?)
  19. IMO, Round2 should retool that ancient 1970 Challenger to include the 1972-1974 clips (maybe the old Lindberg would be a better starting point ?) and make a "Jill" !
  20. Gen-X here... I know exactly how you feel !
  21. More like "off-the-side-of-the-road-on-the-highway-shoulder" duty !
  22. Pieces of The Ticket that Exploded were floating through the air
  23. Those AWS setups seem to rear their head every so often... and they always seem to disappear rather quickly. First one that I can recall seeing was a c.1988 Prelude with AWS. I'm sure there were a number of factory-built predecessors.
