  1. Maybe thistle be of some help ? Lotsa scratch building ahead... The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1969 Dodge Dealership Data Book - Police & Taxi
  2. Far as I can tell, the fuel taxes here have helped tremendously trusty ole I-215 - smoother 'an the Long Beach Freeway ; give them kidneys a good workout
  3. Friday (1995) is a hilarious film
  4. Year of the Plague produced someone with Dog Breath
  5. Thanks for the review and all its content , @Luc Janssens . This reissue has been on me list since I noticed its announcement on Model Roundup - may as well pull the trigger this time (missed out on the c.2013 Foose edition). This kit presents nicely. I built a copy upon its initial release (late 1987 / early 1988) and was impressed with its presentation (painted German Silver Metallic, with Testors Flat Red interior).
  6. Could be a Pactra colour. Too bad that @Snake45 isn't here , as I'm willing to bet he'd know.
  7. Coochie is the sound my kitten makes when she sneezes
  8. This is food-related... make sure to get some Oranges in your belly !
  9. Q5 was a regular option colour for 1971 ( I've seen it on a '72 Swinger as well ; it was coded Q5 on its fender tag ). Regardless, excellent choice ! The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1971 Paint Chip Charts Slideshow
  10. I concur - those Monogram-come-Revell GM Squarebodies are quite long in the tooth. Though I will proudly admit that I cut my teeth on building (sometimes successfully) countless copies of the Monogram K-10 (K-20 ?) and the Blazer / Jimmy. They were just so neat looking - especially when one isn't familiar with any of those kits' inaccuracies (dual tanks, but one filler for one example) . Frankly, it was the GMC grilles and the cool exterior mirrors which attracted those kits to me. Did ever 1980 MY C/K pickup have those out-of-place-but-not-too-ugly-IMO square headlamps ? I thought that those were only on higher trim level models (Silverado primarily) ?
  11. I must say that, prima facie , I'm digging it. And that brings me to my next question (and perhaps I'm just that much of a neophyte here) : since E.V.'s aren't beholden to the (ridiculous, outdated) C.A.F.E. standards, then why not go wild with , I dunno, unique designs ??? Most E.V.'s are bland, ugly ( *cough* Cybertruck *cough* ) , and uninspired . Not to mention their asinine entitlements and , dare I say, peacock profanities, overstating for the uninitiated the just how "virtuous" its owner is.
  12. Is '73 when the F-Series' mild redesign changed from the "Bump-Side" to the "Dent-Side" ? I've always loved the '67-'79 F-Series light duty line - beautifully sculpted lines with just the right amount of elements to attract them to a young artist like me - I'm especially fond of the "crown" centre hubcaps (the F-250 / F-350). Moebius is on the right track with their lineup ; and I agree that the later "Dent-side" needs some loving. ( for this matter, I'd be keen to see a new series of the 1980-1986 as well) Just as well, I'm eagerly awaiting the '67-'72 C/K trucks from Moebius !
  13. I've mentioned this before, but I feel compelled to drag it out again : 1973 & later "Square Body" C/K series pickups , with different wheelbases and different bed styles (including the lesser seen, typically fleet order, long bed step side). My question to everyone : which style do you feel would be best ? 1973-1980 1981-1987
  14. Are there separate , plated 'spears' for those peaks? Are those peaks exclusive to the Bel Air model ? (i.e., the 150 and 210 being less embellished trim levels).
  15. IMO , not worth the effort. Not only is it lacking a separate pan, but it's also the Chevrolet Mark IV ( 396 / 427 / 454 ) bellhousing .
  16. Revell 1971-1972 Oldsmobiles have the BOP TH-400 , 1/25 scale
  17. "Specifically that word cannot be said on tee-vee !" , admonished the producer when Jefferson Airplane played We Could be Together live on the Dick Cavett Show
  18. I'm a sucker for the Colonnades ! A '74 Monte would cover quite a few bases : - "Luxocruiser" types - Lowrider builders - Last of the big engines without California Converters cars I can fore see an Olds Cutlass Supreme variation , too.
  19. I'm rather fond of that Chicken "Coupe" there.
  20. The Demon and Duster bucket seat upholstery patterns and colour choices are the exact same (first time for white buckets for the Duster and Demon). So, I can imagine that the '72 Duster interior will swap directly into the Demon body, thereby making a conversion of the '71 Demon to a '72 Demon an easy job (door cards' details are passable ; the AMT '71 Duster 340 door cards are better should one want for extra detail). Now, if only someone ( Few Sprues Loose ? M.A.D. ? ) would produce a bench seat interior for the Duster and the Demon...
  21. Right crazy are the lyrics to Murder Mystery by the Velvet Underground
  22. I concur. Last year for the smaller backlight ; first year for the L-82 ; no California Converter. Throw in a sweet set of the '74 Zed decals , and I'd buy 75,000 copies.
  23. "Brakes were garbage after one 80 mile-an-hour stop... ask me how's I know !", my uncle told me when I'd enquired about the pursuit '63 Dodge sedan that the L.A. Sheriff's Dept. used to pursue speeders on the Long Beach Freeway
  24. Thanks for sharing that. I hope that Round2 adjusts that tail panel and its lamps - those are too squared on the inside ; outside looks fine. Yes, I realise that this is a prototype - likely a 3D print - but hopefully that panel'll be rectified. AMD Auto Metal Direct 72 Plymouth Duster Tail Light Panel 900-1372
