  1. Either the 340 from the 1971 Duster (the c.1998 AMT kit) or one of the resin engines from VCG Resins would be best. The unique-to-the-high-perf 273 items would be the valve covers (finned, with black wrinkle finish) and the air cleaner (plated, unsilenced). EDIT - Technically the timing cover's different on 1964-1969 Chrysler LA engines, as are the aforementioned valve covers (breather and PCV were reassigned sides for 1970 & later). Same with the lower rad hose - the "bubble top" rads have the lower hose on the left side vs. right side from 1970 & later.
  2. Thanks much @tim boyd for the presentation ! Lotsa goodies comin' down the pipes for MMXXV !
  3. That's the first thing I'd noticed upon seeing the topside of the engine 'plate' - "Looks like a Slant Six to me." 1964 1/2 was the intro of the then-new 273 cube "LA" engine ( "LA" = Lightened A-motor ) , with 1965 receiving the 271hp 273 Commando / Charger (the latter was the Dart's designation).
  4. Day after day, that old reliable 225 Slant Six in the 1971 Duster fired off and spent seven years warming before it could be driven without it stumbling and coughing
  5. Great progress you're having there ! I'm down for a set or seven once you get 'em finalised . Those attachment "sprues" look intimidating to the resin neophytes (like me) , but they truly aren't. For example : I bought a grip of resin 1971 & 1972 Demon resin grilles from A Few Sprues Loose . Incredible replicas ! But those 'mounting' 'sprues' looked intimidating to me - "How am I going to get off all of those nibs without damaging the grille ?". Took my Tamiya side cutters and went to town. I was pleasantly surprised as just how easily those 10,000,000 attachment 'nibs' broke-away from the part without damaging it whatsoever. But, I digress... Keep on keepin' on !
  6. Alive is how I feel when I hold, cuddle with , or pet a purring cat or kitten
  7. "Olive" , as in olive green , is likely recommended as a way to replicate the similar-colour primer that's used. I haven't seen the underside of the newer Chargers, so I can't attest to the accuracy of that callout... let alone knowing how much - if any - body colour overspray there is.
  8. One of my favourite vids of "vintage" "food" Enjoying A 20 Year Old CRYSTAL PEPSI (WARNING:VOMIT ALERT)
  9. Celebrity VR edition - haven't seen one of those in nearly 30 years
  10. I misunderstood the location ; I thought that the O.P. was referring to the vents just-aft the quarter 'windows'.
  11. Derek's ( Vice Grip Garage ) is a 1971 model. Apparently, those do have those 'vents' from the factory ; see link : 1971 De Tomaso Pantera — Petersen Automotive Museum
  12. I found a portable model in a thrift store ( !! ) some 30 years ago. I couldn't believe it ! There was a sign on it which read :"WORKS. $150" Of course, I didn't have a buck-fifty on me (car stuff, y'know) , but my buddy may've ! I rushed to his place (about 7 miles) and told him about this amazing find. Now, this was the time before cell phones and whatnot, so travelling to his apartment was the only option when he didn't answer my call from the (greasy) pay phone at the fuel station. By the time we got back to the thrift store, the Mellotron was gone ! All in a matter of 15 minutes, tops.
  13. I miss the old analogue time/date setups in early 1980s vehicles - the more complex the better : "Here's how to change / setup the date/ time in your 1984 Mercury Lynx... "Press the hour button with your left index finger while pulling the parking brake lever. Now you have the hour... "To change the minute, press the minute button with your right index finger while stimulating your vas deferens.. "Now it's time for the mm/dd/yyyy setup. With your left foot touching the ground while the driver door is ajar..."
  14. International Submarine Band (Gram Parsons, et alia) , 1966. This song was dusted off a few years later by the Flying Burrito Brothers (Gram Parsons, Chris Hillman, "Sneaky" Pete Kleinow, Chris Etheridge, Michael Clarke) on their debut album Gilded Palace of Sin , 1969. As a side note : International Submarine Band was featured in the Roger Corman "exploitation" film The Trip (Peter Fonda, Bruce Dern, Dennis Hopper). For whatever reason, their actual music wasn't featured. As the story goes, Fonda wanted the I.S.B. music in the film, but it was deemed too unusual (e.g., "Country Rock") Without further ado :
  15. GE7 would be "999" for anything other than a C-body. Totally realistic and entirely possible. There's a '70 Challenger R/T with EA9 Charcoal Iridescent , an Imperial-only colour ; its body paint code is "999".
  16. Time for a close-enough build of the Sudden Death Mustang II !
  17. Should be DST year-round, period, full-stop. Bain't that it makes any difference messing around with that asinine time change rubbish - this ain't the early 1900's for cryin' in the rain ! I love that olde timey arguments for keeping that archaic, pre-electricity, pre-motorised/automated farm & implement equipment "Standard" Time : - "Kids'll go to school when it's dark !" I suppose that they'll be coming home in the dark instead. - " My roosters' eggs'll spoil !" - "You'll gain an hour of sleep in the autumn !" Yeah... one night's worth... Arizona tossed that garbage ages ago. When I was there in Feb. 2024 , I noticed a difference by their keeping DST year round. BIG difference.
  18. Like north Korea ! Dead serious here - those rascals are 1/2 an hour ahead of South Korea.
  19. They were all red with goldish tan interior (though I believe that there was one blue metallic model produced... Let me look...) EDIT : There were - according to this article (link) - five in blue metallic : Gary Runyon's 1965 Dodge Coronet A990
  20. By the way, some idiot blew-off his hand with a firework whilst "celebrating" the Dodgers' World Series Championship (queue the snapping fingers from Thing )
  21. The now-former Lindberg '66 ? Just wanting to clarify.
  22. Or a lithium battery fire or ten...
  23. From the Monkees 1968 cult classic Head : https://clip.cafe/head-1968/suck-it-the-venom-reaches-heart/
  24. I was under the impression that Grump changed engines ; swapped an LT-1 in place of the '396' sometime in 1971 before switching to the Vega for '72 ?
  25. However you slice it, Haggis and Hagar the Horrible may 'er may'n be related
