  1. Yep, a Dart Sport Rallye would be a natural !
  2. Flawless , aren't they ? I have quite a few of the engine kits (Ford, Chrysler, Chevy) , a few transmissions, and a couple of differentials.
  3. I agree 100%. I never understood why the '75-'76 ( and '74-'76 Scamp / Valiant / Dart ) A-bodies were festooned with that anodised aluminium embellishment... ... not to mention the ugly '74-'75 steering wheel (excepting, of course, the Tuff-Grip tiller).
  4. Small Block Mopar Stock Engine Kit (3 Versions available) — VCG Resins by Reese
  5. I shot a message to A Few Sprues Loose via eBay , enquiring about any plans he may have pertaining to potentially offering a grille & tail lamp panel filler for the MPC '76 Dart Sport ; here's his reply :
  6. I'd imagine that the "recent" images would turn someone to stone if they viewed them.
  7. I honestly forgot the feller's surname (haha). One of the finest looking race cars from that era .
  8. BTW, @gtx6970, is this going to be Larry Shepherd's car ?
  9. Here's a resin interior I bought ages ago when the '68 LO23 / GTS kit was released (see link). I got it so that I could have the "delete" dash , and the door cards. Revell 68 Dodge Dart Hemi Interior Conversion – Harts Parts Resin
  10. I finally invested in a set of those - best investment I've made in a long time. The angled tip is perfect for reaching the edges under the top and deep in the bottom.
  11. The stylling touches , the stance , the wheels - and that colour ! WOW ! Refreshing to see something other 'an red or orange or turquoise !
  12. Lovely work , Dr. Dirt ! That '77 popped a memory capsule - I recall seeing it in an issue of SAE back in c.1988.
  13. Very nice replica of Grotheer's RO23J71 ! His cars always had the best paint schemes - this Cable Chrysler-Plymouth of yours is no exception.
  14. Different grille ; different upholstery pattern (including the door cards) ; different stripes ; AVS carburetor' and, "flat" trunk lid (early production... they were replaced via a TSB or a recall). IIRC, A Few Sprues Loose offers the '70 grille - the interior, no. Never has been a '70 Duster in any kit guise. A bit 'vexing' for those of us whom lack the skills to scratch build the door cards and upholstery.
  15. Not sure if this is technically obscure : Manassas by Manassas (1972). Stephen Stills, Chris Hillman, and a slew of other fellers. Sounds to me like a - no surprise - blend of The Byrds and Buffalo Springfield .
  16. The first thing (well, one of the first things) which grabbed my attention was the proper sans console floor that's in the '72 Duster 340 ! IMO, I wouldn't concern myself with the centre caps ( one-year-only in 1:1 ! First year for the 'acorn' caps, last year for the (asinine) small bolt pattern rims), as Fireball offers superb Rallyes with separate caps and trim rings ( I bough the set which are sans the trim rings - perfect for the Demon Sizzler / Duster Twister . Likewise, the '72 upholstery pattern will lend itself nicely for the '72 Demon conversion ( Few Sprues Loose ).
  17. That's some mighty fine engraving they have there ! I'd be keen on a reissue , but with stock parts included (steelies / hubcaps, etc.). Those tyres seem to have survived quite well...
  18. I'm sure that I've mentioned these before : - 1968 Chevy II . Revell could backdate their '69 I suppose... this time include options for the COPO L78 / TH-400 and the L79 / 4-speed (last year for that engine). - 1967 El Camino. Since the SS package didn't appear until '68, a base bench seat interior would be ideal. L34 396 with A/C and choice of TH-400 or 4-speed and the L79 / 4-speed. - 1980-83 F-100. Flairside and Styleside , long and short beds. 300 six and 302 eight. Possibilities are endless.
  19. George V. Higgins mentions cars quite a lot in his novels - at the risk of going on ad nauseam here : Friends of Eddie Coyle. There's even more car references in the novel than in the (excellent) film.
  20. Here's one of the sources I was thinking of : Turbo 400 Trans & Pan - Morgan Automotive Detail
  21. The photo's funny for two reasons : 1.) My family's coat-of-arms ( Duw a Ddarpar i'r Brain ) 2.) I smoke Marlboro Reds
  22. Likely on a sound stage with a crane or some sort of lift - their expressions, natural (i.e., the element of surprise). The Pinto wagon was actually dropped from some ridiculous elevation, landing on a lot which stored road salt. Around the 30 minute marque :
