  1. I like the story behind their name ( hahaha ).
  2. I have the new-bodied '65 version ( last year ? Two years ago ? I can't recall - whenever the new body fastback was released... ) , but I've been putting off starting on it. Why ? I feel compelled to add a correct engine compartment. Maybe I'll attempt to scratch build a boiler room for it - or maybe just make it a curbside. The chassis with its moulded-on exhaust and such doesn't bother me all that much, as the build-ups I've seen look positively boss.
  3. Heck , why not offer a CD with a couple of Garage tracks ( preferably in mono ) to go along with it ? My vote's for Kim Fowley's The Trip [1965].
  4. That was the first thing I noticed when I saw this awesome build yesterday. I was holding off to see how long it took someone to recognise that number ( hahaha ). IMO, a more arcane reference would've been "UNiversity-75309" or some other central office exchange prefixed number.
  5. A 413 / 426 Max Wedge in a '65 B-body would fall into M/P or other non-Stock classes anyhow. Perhaps a more obscure '64 Hemi would be the Stock Car ( NASCAR , et alia ) option ; those had a Hemi with a single-four-barrel . I've seen exactly one, and that was more than 30 years ago in a magazine. This'll be a fun project , @gtx6970 !
  6. I wonder if the damage to the 1971 Road Runner , et al., happened when the tooling was being moved from the U.S. to "another place" ?
  7. One of my gripes for decades. The whole licensing deal just smacks of college boy mentality ; college boys of the 1980s (when I first read about the whole then-pending mess of the kit manufacturers paying for a licence for free advertising ).
  8. Leave no stone unturned. That thing looks like a speck of tinfoil ! I'm sure that it felt like tin through your urethra - not fun.
  9. Stuffing envelopes or - more 'an likely - sending out spam texts like the provided example.
  10. Another Neo Noir classic for sure. Similar to my favourite from 1973, The Friends of Eddie Coyle.
  11. I'd like to see the car's fender tag. Likewise, how would a de facto special order seat be coded ? Bucket seats with column-shift T-Flite definitely was standard fare with the R/T (at least with the standard 440 Magnum - not sure about the 440+6 and/or Hemi)
  12. Burbank's House of Hobbies appears to carry Hasegawa kits : Model Kits Auto 1/24-1/25 – Burbank's House of Hobbies
  13. I've managed to purchase a couple of my faves from c.1976 - c.1980 (see below) , and am waiting to build 'em once I get my skills up to snuff. - MPC 1978 Chevy Step Side Pickup (2WD version; produced in late '77. That became the Dust Devil by mid-1978, and the basis for all 4WD iterations since) - MPC 1977 Datsun Pickup ( annual from late '76 ; and the c.1980 reissue (whose name I've forgotten) which includes a camper shell ) - MPC 1978 Pinto (Coupe and Wagon) - 1977 Monza (annual) - 1978 Chevette (annual)
  14. Looks like a LeMans / GTO dashboard.
  15. That's a really thicc Red Tabby !
  16. Charley Varrick and Cape Fear (1990 version)
  17. My birth certificate... last time I saw it en vivo was close to 40 years ago- and I've moved three times since. I don't have any utility bills to present, as I split utilities with my dad (I'm his caregiver) . No passport, either. Oh, well... no air travel for me !
  18. Is that the pink one or the green one ? I remember watching some homeboy build the pink one at a park in Downey (California) back in '80. I wanted to do the same thing, but my aunt wouldn't go for that (haha).
  19. Updated - This was one of my favourite projects of Roger's , so I wanted to showcase it; give it a "bump" .
  20. MCMLXXIII , age 3. Monogram 1/32th scale funny cars ; the Duster and the Camaro.
  21. I'm sure that it'll require some minimal massaging , at least where the panel touches the quarters (i.e., maybe a dab of filler).
