I would like to see : - Renault R5 in street livery - BMW 6-Series Alpine or Baveria [sp] (European-only models) Tamiya produced the R5 some years ago , but it was a Rallye-only version . It was either Gunze or some other Japanese modeller whom made the 6-Series Alpine ; however , I have zero idea about the kit's contents .

I , too , am quite looking forward to the 1957 Ford Wagon and its hopeful Ranchero . Truthishly , a 1958-1959 Ford Fairlane , wagon , and-or Ranchero would be my favourite ...

T-Top deal is optional . On my copy of this reissue , I did not recognise any bleed-through of the lines . It's a total non-issue .

I realise that . I was just hoping beyond hope that R-M would cast up some 2WD parts for it ... or at least some new wheels and tyres .

I've always found the 1994 - 1998 Mustang to be rather female-inspired . Practically every gal I knew --dates , friends-- all loved that "sexy new Mustang" . I found it to be so bland ! Well , at least FoMoCo did well with their SN95 platform ... ... V6 powered not withstanding ( ) The overall package was an improvement versus the Fox Body (which I adore , by the way) , but its shell was too rounded ! By the 1999 model , and the more sculpted body features , all was good again . Most non-classic VW's ( i.e. , Jetta , Passat , 1998-present Bug , Cabriolet , etc. ) are "XX" chromosome favourites . Could the 1969 Hurst AMX be considered a "Girl's Car" ? One Shirley The Drag-On Lady Shahan piloted one quite successfully in Super Stock from 1969-1970

An all-new tooling would be the best route , as that dinosaur-age MPC tooling is soooooooo worn out (not to mention its incorrect 8.75" rear with the Hemi / 4 speed , and just a general lack of details...). 1970 was the first year that the Charger could be had with a true bench seat , too . Would be nice to see a newly-tooled '70 XP29 or XS29 with seating options ... and a sun roof !

Oldest paints I have are : - Tamiya Clear Red - Gunze Clear Orange I bought both of them back in late 1985 , and they're still just a good as the day I opened them !

I can not speak to all race cars in regard to this ; however , for the most part . little to zero concern was given to the under-side . Super Stock (SS) was such a competitive class , that owners / builders / operators attempted to prep their car(s) in short order . One case-in-point to this : the 1968 Hurst-Hemi Dart and Barracuda . Those cars were delivered in grey primer with black gelcoat on the bonnet and fenders ; other than the engine compartment , no consideration was given bwyond the prima fascia of the car . The restored "Akron" Arlen Vanke 1968 Barracuda SS/B --one of the prettiest of the crowd-- shows primer in its door jambs and on its under-side . That's how the car was prepped back in Spring 1968 ! Get that mother out there and dominate SS/B (et seq.) !

I've been pining for a 455 Super Duty T/A or Formula (talk about rare !) for decades ! Honestly , I'm not a fan of the '77-'81 Firebird (nor its relative Camaro) , so these ad nauseam reissues of those (hideous) years is too much to handle !

Those are racing classes : "SS/E" = Super Stock / E (weight class) "C/MP" = C (weight class) / Modified Production These were subject to change as the NHRA saw fit (and believe me , they changed often !)

And yet Round2 proudly asserts that their Lindberg kits are "Made In The USA" . Other than large® scale kits , I don't believe that these will retail for $60 , much less $20 at that . But , you certainly do have a point

Nice . This comes on the heels of Lou Reed ( 27. Oct . 2013 ) and Scott Asheton ( 15. Mar . 2014 ) . Jack Bruce's vocals were tops !

Did the Cali DMV update its database ? Last time I checked , their V.I.N. check only recognised the 1981 & up V.I.N.'s , not the thirteen-charater ID's .

I've had the best luck with Tamiya "TS" colour coats topped with Testors enamel aerosol gloss . No tedious colour sanding , buffing , etc. , either ! The enamel clear just "lays" on top of the excellent Tamiya colour coats.

I remember those ! There was a toy store in El Monte in the 70's (through the late 80's) which had loads of obsolete stuff . I was buying kits from the 60's --albeit nothing "desirable" nor "valuable"-- in the 70's and 80's ; among these finds were Mini Lindys . So , let's bring back Mini-Lindys and their bigger relatives , the 1/32nd scale Buick Century , Pontiac LeMans , Olds Cutlass , etc. , etc.

You really know your MoPars I specified 1972 Valiant , as I know that ti was the only one which survived . The original made-for-television "Movie of the Week " was shown in Novembre 1971 ; its popularity sparked interest in a theatrical-length version , hence the necessity of commendeering a new Valiant . As many times as I've watched Duel in its 42 years of existence (I'm 44 years old) , I've noticed the following Valiants : 1.) A 1970 with a V8 ( has the 'V-EIGHT' emblems on the front fenders , an exclusive-to-1970 models) 2.) 1971 with 225 Slant 3.) 1972 with 225 Slant Every car featured : 1.) FE5 Red paint 2.) Deluxe two-tone brown / tan interior 3.) 1971-only , Plymouth-only W11 deluxe wheel covers I can't imagine that many red 1970-1972 VL41's were produced , which begs the question : were any / all of the cars painted by the motorpool crew ? I know that Speilberg wanted the car to be "underpowered and red" .

I "pre-ordered" ( is that like "pre-heat" ? ) one from 'Roundup . Their due date is posted as Novembre ; however Round2's page asserts Octobre .

From every-thing I've read in the last 25 or so years , both of those bikes were destroyed during filming . I'd be really impressed if some-one found the 1972 Valiant from Duel . It wasn't harmed / destroyed during the filming of the added scenes ...

Yep ! Gotta pull-back on that stupid , pointless 'boot' , otherwise the pump keeps clicking-off !!
