He usually responds within a couple days. I just received decals from him about five days ago. Ive been buying from him for the past few months now. -
Magnetic Panel Line Accent
Brutalform replied to NOBLNG's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I’ve had this happen TOO MANY times. -
Amazing build. That interior looks fantastic. Great color combination on your Mopar. Seeing your build, makes me want to start mine.

Looks like a great project. I can’t wait to see the color on it. When you get to the chassis, make sure the front spindles are PERFECTLY centered in the backing plate, by making sure the wheel fits it before the glue dries. There is just enough room for the rear of the wheel to fit in the recessed area, and if it’s off a hair, you won’t get the wheel on.

An all-time holy grail build- 69 Charger Daytona

That’s one fine looking Mopar. From the wheel and tire choice, to the exterior color, very well executed. Your attention to detail on the interior is impeccable. -

Thanks Bill. -
I converted the non A/FX comet into the Dyno car, and painted it Tamiya Italian Red. It looks pretty close to all the pics I came across.

I copied this post to put here. This is where I am at now. Anyone run into this problem before? -

Yea... there is no doubt the first grill I tried in the beginning of this post was the same size. I just can’t check because it snapped and I tossed it. I sent Hart’s Parts an email about it, and just waiting for a reply. -

I thought the same thing but there wasn’t a 1/24 69 Roadrunner kitted. I did try slipping this in a monogram 1/24 Superbee and it’s too small for 1/24 scale. -
Butch Leal California Flash Duster color ?
Brutalform replied to Mr mopar's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Tamiya Bright Red over white primer appears orange like the Duster. But over a darker primer, looks like an actual bright red. -

Thanks Bill, you can see the headlight bezels in that pic I posted. They are not close to the original. I cant sand anymore as I’m afraid I’ll ruin the body. -

Yea, no matter what, this grill can’t be used. It fits into the opening, but spreads the fenders slightly out. -

I bought a new grill from Hart’s Parts, and this one is also big. No as big as the one in this post, but big enough where a lot of work around the front fenders and on the grill itself to get it to fit. Now it finally fits into the opening, but now it sticks way out beyond the hood. -
I just pre ordered mine.
-
Thanks. Good advice. That’s what I’ll do on my Roadrunner build. I’ll lay a coat of gloss black on the hood, add the decals, and finish it with dull cote.
-
I was told they were going to ship by the end of March, and be on shelves and online by early April. I guess they ran into a problem? I’d rather wait than end up with a warped body, or some other defect.

Actually I’m going to remove all the decals and order brand new ones from Keith Marks. Hopefully he can sell me two sets for the scoop. The originsl six pack scoop decals clouded up white, even though I cut them real close to the word, removing the excess clear film. Then Nick (High Octane) was kind enough to send me another set. I just put them on as they were, and they did the same thing. At least I was able to get a few pics before it happened. As for the black stripe, we’ll that just looks horrible no matter how you put it. I’m glad you guys gave me input, because I didn’t even realize the orientation was incorrect. I recently learned from my Roadrunner A12 project to add the panel line that separates the front fender from the rocker panel. That little detail was also overlooked on the Super Bee. The more I looked at other builds, I’ve noticed this is overlooked often. I really appreciate the positive replies. I’m learning more and more about other cars besides GM. Also learning that the Mopar guys are probably the most passionate about their builds. This forum, and its members really rock!

I’m blown away. Very nice and clean build.

I should be ok. I ordered one from Hart’s Parts. But I do appreciate the offer. Thank you. -
Looking good so far Zack. That body looks nice in primer. Did you scribe the panel lines? Or are that molded that deep. Either way it looks good.

That’s a really nice job you did on that engine. I like how you kept the fan that hard plastic color, just like the real car. This is a nice kit to build.
