  1. Built this back in 04 after I saw a rendering done bt Steve Stanford. Started with a junker 78 Dodge. I shortened the wheelbase, shaved the emblems & trim, filled the cowl vent, made a 1-piece rear door & sunk the taillights. Custom made the grill,& used masking tape for the vinyl roof.Added Prowler wheels.
  2. Mark,so good to see you are still plugging along on this project. Wrapping those headers must have taken a while to do as I know wrapping real ones are a pain.
  3. Just looked thru the entire 20 pages of everyone's tribute builds. Great stuff from all of you! I bookmarked it & will be checking back.
  4. I built a 50 Ford back in 2009. Great kit with a ton of cool parts, although I went a different way with mine.:) Your model is coming along nicely! Will be following your build.
  5. Got a built 65 Riviera a while back, mostly because the Green car that Snake 45 built on here looked so cool. I believe it is the 1986 issue. Not real sure why there are Fairlane GT decals & rims on it & what looks to be Vega rims on the back. Engine compartment was wired using thread. Is a pretty clean build. I am going to take off the decals & try to wax the body and change rims.
  6. Vince,I am sorry to hear of the loss of your wife. My deepest condolences to you & your family. May she R.I.P.
  7. Awesome job replicating the truck & trailer! Your pics outside make them look so real!
  8. Have always loved the 34 Ford PU model. Nice work RRR ! Your truck looks sweet! I love everything about it!
  9. I paint a lot of other stuff. Have always loved to draw, paint. Kinda practice at pinstriping from time to time. lol
  10. I believe the rims & tires are the same as the ones that came in the old MPC Dodge vans. If you don't locate any, I have the van ones.
  11. Non-subscriber here too. If anyone finds out where to purchase this issue, please let me know! Thanks!
  12. Nice Cal Look bug cruising the highway.
  13. Bill is correct. There are rims & hubcaps in the MPC 78 Ford "SunRunner" van kit. Probably in other MPC vans as well, but that's the only kit I have. They are not correct. The lettering should be stamped into the cap, not raised.
  14. Nice looking parts Bill !! The 1st hubcaps would be 1969-72 truck, but have seen them later on the vans. The 2nd hubcaps would be 73-87 3/4 & 1-tons. The 1/2 tons only had 5 spokes, not 6. I have all those Dodge grills from original models. Will have to order yours to see how they compare.
  15. WOW! All great looking stuff Bill!
  16. I like your color chose. I like #4 for the air cleaner. It's gonna flow more air in real life.
  17. Someone say 62 Lancer? LOL. Mine is slowly being restored.
  18. Like Snake said, I try to build em all to look cool. I picked this one because I built it when I was challenged by a great friend to build it in just 30 days for a club model meeting contest. Never really cared for the F1 Trucks. I prefer the 53-56 Ford F100's.
  19. There are 1/24 scale diecast Airstream trailers out there.
  20. 1st picture is my 56 Ford pickup I built in 1975. 2nd pic is my TransAm Ford Courier I built in 1980. Next pic is my 56 Victoria I built in 2015. 36 Ford roadster I did this year,2019 I do love building models & love repairing old kits & old builds. The Vega I originally built in 1975. Been repairing the hacked quarter panel wheel wells on it. Also repairing the quarter panel wheel wells on the Falcon.
  21. I still have my original QuickSilver version I built as a kid. It had the Gold colored felt for carpeting.
