  1. Bryan, I understand what you mean by "channelled" but, what is "pinched"? I assume this means squeezing the front together at the grille but, it is not a term I have heard. BTW, the car is looking great.
  2. I like how the article mentions that it isn't using Mr Fusion...YET. Kind of relates to the 115 year old electric car thread.
  3. Yeah, this thing is definitely creepy. Great Job! Of all the skulls in the paint, I like the one on the grille the best.
  4. I like my own variation of the coat of silver. I am doing an orange AMT 70 1/2 Camaro for my wife right now. The plastic comes in orange. I didn't even shoot primer on it. I just hit it with a good coat of silver and then laid down some One Coat pink on it. There is no bleed through at all.
  5. This looks like it is gonna be a nice build. Michael, you might want to check out the AMT Resto Rods '66 Nova. The wheels that come with it may be a little closer to what you want. This site no longer has them but, gives you an idea of what I am talking about. http://www.hobbylinc...mt/amt38373.htm
  6. OK, I just read this for the first time and I have to point two things out about this auction. 1. STIRRING U.S SERVICE MARCHES...MADE IN ENGLAND (Nothing against England but, shouldn't a patriotic album be made in the country that is supposed to be inspired by it?) 2. CONDITION : VERY OLD AND SMELLS VERY VINTAGE TOO (You mean they want two million for this thing and it stinks?)

    1956 Nomad

This is one nice 56 Nomad. It is very well finished. I can't wait to get one of these.
  8. I really like the 57. Nice job on both.
  9. You know, I honestly think it is kind of scary how close Back to the Future was over twenty years ago. Mr Fusion isn't really something that is too far fetched nowadays. Alternative fuels are a great idea. I think I would rather worry about how to get the best performance out of an alternatively fueled vehicle than worry about not getting as far because I turn on the AC or the stereo on an electric.
  10. @ Paul I didnt even think it would be that long. But seriously, this is something to consider with all these cars that are completely electric. It could potential cause a major portion of the aftermarket to be abandoned if the industry ends up switching to all electric.
  11. I'm 35 and I still haven't outgrown installing full-on aftermarket stereos and air suspensions with electric compressors switches, and valves. I just wander how far I would get in a totally electric car.
  12. Steve, did you use a small drill bit and run a pin through that lower control arm, sprue, and chasis? That does look pretty easy but, going that route is going to look goofy because the upper and lower control arms are not equal length on the Camaro. Since I'm not good at scratching tiny items, I may still have to go this route. I actually found another set of wheels with two spindles attached (what they go to, I don't remember) and may just find a way to replace them both with these from the parts box.
  13. That's about the funniest thing I have ever seen. I don't really think too many non-drivers would have made it through that without hurling.
  14. Is it sad that I easily figured out that the AMT 62 Belair Kit has a front roll pan than can be modified to a rear roll pan for a sport side Chevy but can't do this? Sadly, I did the roll pan thing like 10-15 years ago and still can't scratch a little spindle. Maybe I should order some Millput and cast one from the other?
  15. I am in the process of building the newly boxed AMT 70 1/2 Camaro. (AMT-635) Somehow, the driver side spindle came loose along with the back side of the rim and fell toward the floor. Well, somehow, it never made it all the way to the floor and has completely vanished. I can replace the wheel from the parts box with no problem. (Worse come to worse, I'll go bigger) The problem is, I don't have the scratch building abilities to build a new spindle due to its size. Does anyone know of another kit that uses the same front spindles or one that will fit in its place?
  16. That honestly looks like someone has literally been chewing on it. Those look like teeth marks. Nevertheless, I hope to see you make progress soon because the van is looking great. Please keep it going.
  17. Oh lol I couldnt tell there. I saw the assembly but, it didn't look like it was near the engine. Anyway, can't wait to see more progress.
  18. Is it just me, or is that engine suspended in mid air?!
  19. I heard this on XM 90's on 9 a few weeks ago. They said it is definitely in production. As a child, my favorites were Scooby Doo, Garfield, and Peanuts. Even though I have them on DVD to watch with my little girl, I get mad if I miss the holiday episodes of Charlie Brown when they air.
  20. I could build from now to the day I die and not be able to build something that nice and detailed. Three thumbs up...providing I can borrow one from someone else.
  21. Thanks Jason...you how we do things on the cheap around here if we can.
  22. I don't mean to threadjack you but, how did you do a screenshot of your iphone? I don't have wireless internet but use wifi on the iphone and this would be handy because michaels has this thing where they can read the coupon on your phone now. I could maybe copy it into photos.
  23. That's a sweet little ride. Strangely, from that angle, the taillights look a lot like the new Camaro.
  24. Tamiya and others make great fillers for models.
