This is a beautiful build. I think these cars look severely aggressive and almost evil from the front.

This xBt is looking pretty sweet.

Toyota Hilux's
Skydime replied to Cool Hand's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
The one with the Snugtop camper shell has both LHD and RHD dashes in it. I bought this particular version from someone but it didn't have wheels as nice as this one. -
I keep seeing adds on TV for this thing made by Mitsubishi that hangs on the wall (and I think is vented outside...maybe.) I think it's something like Rob Z is talking about. It has both an air conditioner and a heater in it. If you are that concerned, you may want to consider something like that as an option if you move your extra stock into that room. But before investing money into something, you may want to just stick a thermometer up there and monitor its readings first. That way, you can see where you stand before doing anything. Ah ha! Found it. Forgot it was the one in the funny commercial!

Silly Yahoo Answers Question...
Skydime replied to Wayne Buck's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I so want to say something bad about whoever that was who asked that but, I won't. Strangely enough, there may be a good reason...like trying to prove someone else right or wrong. -

The Fast & The Furious, Canadian style, eh?
Skydime replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Certainly, no disrespect to the authorities in the situation. Yeah, it's just disappointing that cops would go through that much trouble to keep these people safe and out of jail and that they would still show up drinking and driving. The police actually enjoyed the racing...when they knew it was safe. -
That's a heck of a comeback to the hobby and a great first build on the site. Well, done so far. By all means keep posting progress.

I had one of these a loooonnnnngggg time ago. (...don't recall the same box so, must been a different issue.) I want to say I was a kid but, don't remember. Either my modeling skills really sucked back then or you are having to do a heck of a lot of work to deal with warpage and fit issues. Great job so far.

The only smart phone (other than a Blackberry Pearl that I never used for internet) that I had previously was an HTC Aria that had Droid. I must say, that was a pretty nice setup...except the speakerphone volume was practically nonexistent. -

Skydime replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sorry guys, I didn't mean that the way it sounded. I just meant that it seems that if they were stupid enough to be in the situation in the first place, I figured they would also be stupid enough to run. Certainly don't mean to sound like I am condoning running from the law. -

Yeah, that's true. -

Honestly, the only reason I have an iphone is because I got it cheap. I didn't used to like them at all and refused to break over to one (still choose Microsoft Zune as my MP3 player) until I figured out how to make my own ringtones. -

This is what I want to know out of the whole thing...were the cops in supercars too or were they just too stoopid to figure out they could outrun the cops? Nevertheless, a situation that should have never happened to start with. There used to be a road near my home where people street raced every Saturday night. The cops had to go out so many times that, they just decided that, since there was such little traffic on it, they would intermittently make sure no one was drinking, block it off, and let em race. I know it sounds crazy but, I live in a backwoods town so...yeah. And it seems like the checking for drinking part is what killed it all. -
New Setting For Topics
Skydime replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think that is a great idea, Gregg. -
That black Merc in the garage looks sharp too. I don't remember seeing it featured under glass. How bout some full pics of it too?

Yeah, it's definitely a good thing. I hate those goofy chocolates that are orange and green and who knows whatever else inside.

Yeah, I got in the site but, I had never seen that at the bottom before. Unfortunately, I can't use the skin because I am too lazy to jailbreak my phone. My wife has an iPhone 4 and she has a program (uh, app) that does that without jailbreak. Thanks for the information Gregg and Chris. -
I had never really given that kit much thought. But yours looks great in those colors.

1980's Toyota Celica-Supra WIP *engine bay/firewall detailed!*
Skydime replied to brodie_83's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Brodie, you forgot to put a key in the ignition. Normally, I wouldn't say anything about it but, as detailed as this thing is, you are going to need it for when you fill the engine and gas tank and try to start it. In all seriousness, this thing looks absolutely amazing. You just don't see too many build ups of Imports where people take this much time and put in such high detail. -
Alyn, I can see right now that this is on the way to being one heck of a nice build. I like how you are taking the time to do the engine modifications along with the body modifcations on this custom. Jason, you can find ferrels in the pipe fitting section of your hardware store but, Im not sure that you are going to find something this small there unless they are for 1/8" lines.

From the results, looks like you ended up with the pecan cluster or the occassional one that tastes like a Snickers bar. Excellent work.

x2 This is a really clean build of my favorite of the three tri-fives
