Thanks for the feedback, Was a great trade with steamboat here.

ive got a local bike shop that sells some model kits very cheap, picked these two up for 13$ each. the T/A is definitely being kept for a build, the impala may end up getting traded if i dont build it in the next year or two.

2025 Cannonball Run - 50 years since the 1975 run.
xbazzarex replied to Mattilacken's topic in Community Builds
Alright im going to actually finish my entry this year. Ill be going with the Shelby G.T. 350R. may need to add a few creature comforts to the kit to make it a more realistic car for a long drive like this. -
2024 Cannonball Run Restomods Build Thread
xbazzarex replied to White Rabbit's topic in Community Builds
every build so far looks awesome, only thing ive done on the SSR is get the parts off the trees and started prepping the body. Had 2 projects i was already working on and just finished one and the other is almost done, then the SSR will start getting updates in here. -
Technically got them yesterday, but still quite a score. A local bicycle shop has a huge selection of kits and they are on the cheaper side. I bought the only 2 pontiacs that werent nascar, but they had tons of vettes and camaros.

A question for Mr. Goldman - Re Round 2
xbazzarex replied to iwantmodels's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
yep, just most of the time the 3rd gens are kitts, and the late model 4th gen kits are pretty difficult to find. probably not much of a market anymore for those generations i guess. -
A question for Mr. Goldman - Re Round 2
xbazzarex replied to iwantmodels's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I realize this is a snowballs chance in hell but, will there ever be any newer pontiac stuff? 3rd and 4th gen tran ams, G8 GXP, Solstice GXP, 97-02 grand prix coupe? i know the 3rd gens get made every so often but they are usually knight rider stuff. -
Ollie's strike again
xbazzarex replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
finally got the firebird and the camaro today- still no sign of that bonneville kit near me though. -
Man im glad i wasnt the only one, i recently built this kit too and the fitment of mine was awful. im not even sure what to do with it now that its built. I had an issue with another coke kit i bought at ollies, was the 70's chevy truck, chassis was warped so bad that one tire lifts up while the other three are level.
-
funny this would pop up, I was just in the garage cleaning up and organizing parts for my 3rd gen. 85 Trans am, 305 TPI. this kit looks awesome, i do hope the details are better than the 1985 camaro revell kit, there are some glaring inaccuracies on that kit.
-
very cool, this color scheme is iconic. Glad to see the kit is decent, ive been looking at it for quite a few months and just havent pulled the trigger. I had a 72 Formula 350 id love to try and replicate.
-
Wow that is a beautiful looking Z kit
-
Very nice kits, most 2nd gens look good(except for the mid 70s, those bumpers were hideous). Im personally a third gen guy, but our cars are getting hard to come by for any generation.
-
Very nice builds, I have an 85 trans am and a 88 formula in my garage. Beautiful to look at, shame they didnt really have any decent engines until the turbo 3.8.

Round 2 AMT 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS "Fifty" Edition
xbazzarex replied to Againmikewins's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
awesome to see it opened up, when i was at HL i thought the kit was another snap together. -
looks cool so far, i had a 4th gen trans am kit and a viper kit set aside to do the same kind of build. this is great inspiration to get back to that soon.
-
that carpet certainly does look bright, do you have pics of it in the car??
-
love the karmann ghia's, they are very under appreciated compared to the bug. build looks awesome so far, Love the rim choice(have the 1:1 rims on my Trans am).
-
yeah the bed will only be fitting 2 cars, if they were small like beetles it might fit 3. i haven't decided which GTO's will be on there yet, i think i have the three kits mentioned here. the instructions are kind of silly, but the part fitment is awful. in the pictures you can see the trailer plates do not line up because of how bowed they are, im going to try some glue and a clamp or two to see if i can make it straight. still working on some of the detail paint as well, anyone familiar with 1:1 trailers like this? should there be hoses or something for the wheels and brakes and such(brakes i assume yes). i was having a hard time finding a reference picture online.

I've been on the forum for some time but i dont think ive ever posted any work. it can be a bit intimidating seeing how great some of the builds are here, but every build is a step forward and i figure a bit of feedback never hurts. so for starters im sure your thinking i put this in the wrong section and it should be in the trucks section, but the main focus of the build will not be the truck itself, but what the truck is hauling. ive started the dodge l-700 by lindberg, at least ive started the trailer lol. none of the pieces that should be flat, are actually flat. however ive made some minor progress. the rear axles and box is assembled, the rims are painted a dark matte brown. i will be following a similar color scheme to the box except in place of the red, ill be using matte brown. and in place of the green ill be using a metallic red.ill have to get some better pictures of the color. the truck will end up on a dio im slowly, slowly working on. and i believe the truck will be hauling 3 awesome GTO's, a 65,66,and 67. that is if all 3 will fit on the trailer, and if all 3 kits i have are the same scale and similar sizes.

1/25 version of my 1/1 Trans Am., , , June '22 ,, Tail light panel
xbazzarex replied to Can-Con's topic in WIP: Model Cars
love it, i have an 85 t/a that im slowly getting back on the road. also building a scale version, the kits definitely have some....odd?... variations. the kit i used has the back seat molded in to the interior and the seats are squared off for some reason. -
Have the same kit in my stash(just have to strip some paint off), the two tone color schemes were always my favorite.
