If a "correct" modern kit was built, they'd fly off the shelves .. the reason the other kits "languish" is simply for the fact that they were truly awful kits ..

The "real" phantasm 'cuda didn't have billboard stripes it had white pin stripes and pretty big rear fender flares .. it was a 70's street machine look car. Google it.

Si, customer support IS non-existent, but that has zero to do with the fact ALPS isn't manufacturing new units .. referbs are available. There's reason customer service blows, they're in Japan.. & I don't savvy Jap.. I want one, i have the money, but I'd like to make sure it's complete and XP ( at least ) compliant .. The only other option is a Roland, but I don't have a spare 17k on me .. and yeah I saw that link too.. not really informative, if I'm going to drop 2k +/- I want to make sure I know what I'm getting ..
