You're absolutely right Harry, they should take a chance on getting killed every time they ride , just because the majority of drivers out there don't have the 1st clue about how to pay attention while they drive. Oh that and they are disturbing you. Certainly seems like a fair trade off ...

Uhh apparently not.. Mufflers aren't required in Ga. unless your vehicle is required to have an emissions test, which depends on what county you live in. I run straight pipes on my '77 Trailduster , but it's also painted Tor Red , so there's really no chance of missing it. I just like the sound. Now, if people were just as worried about paying attention to bikes on the road, as they are apparently about the noise they make, or how loud a stereo is, or what color a car is or etc etc etc there would be a lot fewer bikers killed by drivers to busy doing everything else but driving. This is an argument that's been around since about 15 minutes after the first Harley rolled off the assembly line. Some people look at it as an annoyance , some people look at as a way to save lives.

Dang Skippy ... the ones that complain about it are the same ones that sit on the porch and yell at kids "get off my lawn" ..LOL

Nothing like that man, I was just passing a little knowledge .. mopar was famous for lousy paint jobs back in the day .

Just an FYI. Mopar "chassis" were never painted completely body color. They were primer with body color overspray. Not knocking your work or nitpicking, just passing on a little info ..

And that is one of the MANY benefits of owning a Harley ! You'd hate my '58 Panhead . I will tell you this much, LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES !!. It may have been irritating to you, but I can guarantee you knew EXACTLY where that bike was. Intersections are some of the most dangerous places on the road for for bikes, ( Harleys or otherwise ). So, until people wake up, pay attention to the road, put down their cellphones, newspapers , makeup, 142 ounce Big Gulps, laptops, rotisserie chickens, etc etc , I guess the only defense are our loud pipes. So at the end of the day I'll take "irking" a few guys over ending up dead because you couldn't "see me" .. How do I know all this to be true ? I lost my closest brother in a bike wreck. He was 45 years old. The driver of the Fed Ex van that t-boned him at an intersection claimed he "didn't see him" as he was running the red light.. he was wearing headphones because his vans radio was broken. Complain about something that really matters ... Now, do some riders do it just to be jerks ? Yup.. but then some people in cars have their stereo so loud you can hear 3 blocks away .. & that happens year round ..

That's a lot like me working in a Outdoor Sports store part time.. I never saw a check, in fact it cost me money to work there ..

Poison Pinto, Rat Vega, The entire line of those awful ( but very cool ) Revell pick ups. Pretty much the same can be said for the line up of their '70's style Custom Vans. Chapparal Coupe, etc etc there is literally a ton of stuff. The NASCAR stuff is dicey because of copyright issues though ..

This would be awesome to see .. but I guess it wouldn't be a huge seller .. definitly a "Holy Grail" kit for me though ..

Yeah like the gold leaf look ? You could probably do that with real gold leaf, in conjunction with decals ? Even if you don't have a good printer, someone in your area ( Kinko's etc etc) have one. We have a local print shop in Norcross that has a tolp of the line ALPS.. I've always wanted to try my hand at gold leaf, but it's so pricey ..
