  1. You did a fantastic job on your '55 Keke. Where did you source the PE grille?
  2. Bill, I don't know how I missed ths thread, but I'm thoroughly astounded by not only the quality of the work you've done, but also on the level of detail that each and every part has received. I want to ask sort of a tag-on question to the one Harry P raised earlier - how have you made so many of the smaller parts, such as the wire harness connectors and such. They look too perfect to be hand-made (maybe they are, and if so, it only shows that level of your ability, too) so am wondering if they're pieces produced on a rapid prototype printer. I don't think there are words to truly describe this project. There are lots of great builders. I pay special attention to the drag car builds, and there's lots of great detail building going on with them but the detail in so many of your parts that are intricate in their shape and size is nearly beyond my ability to comprehend. I will definitely keep my eye on this build in the future!
  3. Looking good! I love Fairlanes and those old '64 Thunderbolts are right up at the top of the list.
  4. I'm not sure there are words to describe this build. Certainly everyone else has used them already. It's remarkablly detailed. Stance, paint - everything is perfect. I, too, would love to see the chassis work...
  5. I think we're good, as far as I remember, but then that's testing my memory, too! LOL
  6. That looks great, Joe. What a fantastic job you did on cutting the body. Gaps look perfect. I can't wait for more updates...
  7. Beautiful work, Jeff. I see you've done some rework on the front wheel openings. It makes a noticeable difference too, to fill in the "gill" vents on the quarters. Very nice!
  8. Super job, John. I can almost smell the nitro...
  9. some "correct" domed center Supertricks would be super nice to see in 1/24-25 scale. Hey Dave - I'm working on some..., including the double-drilled rears. If you want to e-mail me at scott@futurattraction.com, I'll send you a pic or two.
  10. I'm just in awe. I wish there was something more I could say, but I'm running out of adjectives...
  11. Whoa! That's looking great, Dave! Can't wait to see more...
  12. The job you are doing on this is something else, Joe! That's a very clean job you're doing, not only on the front end, but everywhere else, too. Keep it up, bud!
  13. That's looking really great, Romell, and I commend you for making this change. You're starting to act like Chris with the chassis rebuild of his Army Vega! LOL
  14. Hey Jeff. I thought of something after I went to bed last night. Felt kind of dumb for not having thought of it before I posted, but it was too late to edit my post. From an aesthetic standpoint, the longer deck lid/quarters might still merit consideration, but on the other hand, as a Pro Mod, they run so much spoiler that the down force issue that may be present with a much more limited-spoiler Pro Stock car probably doesn't come into play. So...it really probably comes down to aesthetics,
  15. It's looking great, Jeff! I have a question for you... You have it designed in your mind's eye, but I'm curious if it could stand to have more length in the quarters behind the wheel well opening... Not to make more work, but I've been looking at some of the new Pro Stocks (I know this isn't a Pro Stock) and it seems that at least some of them not only slope the rear of the body, but also lengthen the rear deck/quarters, I'm sure for more down force. Just tossing it out there! I love it, either way.
  16. That's very exacting work to get those .020 bolts on the butterfly shaft and have them equally spaced and vertically centered... I commend you for your patience, eyesight and dexterity!!! Great looking job so far.
  17. Hey Jeff, It's nice to see you've got something back on the chopping block...ha As Tyrone said, you've got an eye for this stuff that's almost beyond human comprehension.
  18. Hey Joe, I'm actually working on some things that I hope to get into 1/16th builders' hands before too long. I've got some drilled brake rotors, brake handle, dual upright NOS bottle mounts and window bezels drawn up. Just need to get some extra $$ rounded up so I can get them ordered. I may work on some 4-link brackets too, when time permits.
  19. Great tip Casey! Thanks a bunch...
  20. Joe, I just wanted to chime in and say how great your wishbone looks and what nice progress you're making. I can certainly identify with spending five times more looking and thinking than actually doing. It's the price a guy pays for trying to do it right (and hopefully only once!)... Not that it's a sure thing! LOL
  21. That paint scheme will knock your socks off and blast the eyeballs right out of a guy's head! Sorry for being so graphic... LOL
  22. That's looking great, Chris. I'm still amazed at your perseverence and patience with this...
