  1. Very nice build and the paint really stands out!
  2. That's a very nice build!
  3. Brushpainting "chromepaint" usually doesn't work! You need to spray/airbrush it in VERY LIGHT coats to work. Also, Black for basecolour usually gives the chrome a somewhat to dark look. Better use a Bright blue or turquoise colour for base!
  4. No, the clear canopy comes from a Die Cast of this car , as do the Wheels actually!
  5. I finished this one 20 minutes ago. I'll redo it in the future that's why I left out the decals. The White "fuzz" on the body is from the cotton gloves I wore while putting it together.

    Being a VW-lover I really like the models You've built !
  7. Really cool !
  8. My '57 baja Bug has been put on hold as I've been into a christmas challenge on a scandianvian model forum. We have from midnight dec 23 til midnight dec 30 to build a model kit of one's own choice. Here's what I've been into for the last few Days:
  9. Unfortunately the Porsche-Engine that i got from my friend Marc doesn't look as good as I'd hoped forin the rear of my Baja Bug, so I'll stick to the VW-Engine this time. Don't worry though, I have several other VW-Projects where the Porsche-Engine can come in handy.....
  10. Still not sure about what Engine to use, but I've kept building on the VW-Engine and also started constructing a rollbar.
  11. Best looking T'rantula I've seen....ever!!
  12. Very nice build!Looks just like the real deal!
  13. Cool!!! I have one of these as well! I also had a 1:1 scale fourgonette about 20 years ago! Looking forward to see this one finished!
  14. Really nice build, and my absolute favorite year 'Cuda!
  15. WOW! That's one of the best Royal Rails I've ever seen built!
  16. Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement, that's exactly what I need to keep going! This is actually not my cup of tea, as I prefere to build more "streetable" cars. But I kinda figured I had to do this to really fulfill my VW-collection....
  17. Made a Little progress today.
  18. Cool! looking forward to see more pic's in progress! my own Baja build has been pu on hold due to lotsa work right now.
  19. I just had to do Another mockup after gluing the front and rear fenders to the Gunze body and this is just about what it'll look like when finished:

  22. The front Wheels are Fujimi Porsche 356 with a scratchbuilt outer lip to make them 17". The rear Wheels and tires...Just found them in my stash! Most likely from IMC Fun Bug 1/20th scale kit ??
