Very nice build and the paint really stands out!

That's a very nice build!

Brushpainting "chromepaint" usually doesn't work! You need to spray/airbrush it in VERY LIGHT coats to work. Also, Black for basecolour usually gives the chrome a somewhat to dark look. Better use a Bright blue or turquoise colour for base!

No, the clear canopy comes from a Die Cast of this car , as do the Wheels actually!

I finished this one 20 minutes ago. I'll redo it in the future that's why I left out the decals. The White "fuzz" on the body is from the cotton gloves I wore while putting it together.

My '57 baja Bug has been put on hold as I've been into a christmas challenge on a scandianvian model forum. We have from midnight dec 23 til midnight dec 30 to build a model kit of one's own choice. Here's what I've been into for the last few Days:

Unfortunately the Porsche-Engine that i got from my friend Marc doesn't look as good as I'd hoped forin the rear of my Baja Bug, so I'll stick to the VW-Engine this time. Don't worry though, I have several other VW-Projects where the Porsche-Engine can come in handy.....

Still not sure about what Engine to use, but I've kept building on the VW-Engine and also started constructing a rollbar.

WOW! That's one of the best Royal Rails I've ever seen built!

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement, that's exactly what I need to keep going! This is actually not my cup of tea, as I prefere to build more "streetable" cars. But I kinda figured I had to do this to really fulfill my VW-collection....

The front Wheels are Fujimi Porsche 356 with a scratchbuilt outer lip to make them 17". The rear Wheels and tires...Just found them in my stash! Most likely from IMC Fun Bug 1/20th scale kit ??
