  1. I really like to see this one being restored! You certainly do a good job!
  2. That would be the SMP 1911 Chevrolet in my case. It was already built when I bought it. Almost complete, missing the dashboard though. Still in search for the Gladen Aerocar and the Aurora Archie's car at decent prices.....
  3. Awesome !!! Well done!!!
  4. I simply printed them on regualr paper, cut them into correct shape and glued them with white glue.
  5. I used the custom-wheels from an AMT 1958 Impala and combined them with stock hubs from an AMT 1950 Ford (they say FORD instead of Mustang, but the overall look is close enough for me)
  6. This is my latest build. The real car was sold by the bolivian or brazilian ambassador in sweden, to a swedish police officer, in 1972 or -73. Then, in late August 1973 a bank robbery took place in Stockholm/Sweden. The robber, Jan Olsson, made demands for a fast getaway car and also wanted the police to release another well-known bank-robber, Clark Olofsson, out of jail along with a big ransome for the hostage he kept in the bank vault. The swedish police officer offered his personal car, The Mustang, to be used as getaway-car. I built this Mustang using the last re-issue of the old 1972 Mustang Fastback and a re-issued 1972 Mercury Cougar for the roof. The hubcaps were built by combining custom wheels from a 1958 AMT Chevy Impala and the hubcaps from a 1950 Ford.
  7. That's the coolest Comet I've seen, EVER !!!!
  8. From 1958 to 1984 swedish police-cars were black'n white. I build quite a lot of VW's and I really like VW rods. So, I decided to build a "themed" VW rod using nothing but the worst VW scrap parts I could find in my stash. I think a total of 8-10 different VW's donated parts for this build.
  9. Very nice and well done! I have made several similar conversions to the Gunze Bug. One of them was made into a V303 Prototype from 1938.
  10. Very nice work! It's a fun and simple kit to build and a very good platform for doing various custom/rod VW's !
  11. A really nice build and the colors are beautiful! That's my absolute "dream-car" . But since they're hard to find for decent money in 1:1 , I'll have to stick to the 1/25 ones, and I do....I think there are 6 of them in my collection
  12. You did a magnifiscent job to thet Promo, congrats!
  13. WOW, that sure got MY attention, I just LOVE it!
  14. Very nice build, well done!
  15. From about 1960 til about 1980 swedish police cars were painted black/white. So I decided to do a VW hot rod in a typical vintage swedish police-style. I used 4 different VW-bodies from my scrapbox and this is the result:
  16. Cool, and fun as well!
  17. During a 6 week period in Dec 2016-Jan 2017 I took part in a building challenge here in Sweden. All participants got a 1/24 scale Citroën 15 CV (Heller) and were challenged to build it into a Hot Rod using only what came in the box, the box itself and/or the blueprints. We were also allowed to use engine and wheels from our partsboxes and,if prefeerred, plastic card end Evergreen profiles. I used the box parts, some of the box and blueprints and a piece of clear plastic and also took the wheels from a 1/20 scale plastic toy, the rims and 2½ engine from the Red baron showrod. The build was obviously inspired by the Red Baron, but also by the story of Georges Guynemer, a french pilot during WW1. He and his SPAD-plane was shot down in 1917, exactly 100 years ago this year. This is how it came out:
  18. This one's finished but there are still some minor inperfections to be taken care of....
  19. Got the driver painted last night: Grille and lights in place:
  20. Almost done now. I put a large mirror in the back of the "cuckoos nest" and right now I'm building a driver to put in the drivers seat:
  21. Made new driveshafts this morning and testfitted the interior:
  22. An old HANDIC CB-radio will end up in the dashboard: Paint almost finished:
  23. I really like what I see here. You seem to be a "fast learner" LOL! Engine is coming along great and the paint....well I've been building for almost 50 years now and I still can't do better than You when it comes to paint. Keep up the good work and let's see more nice builds!
  24. Cool! I like it a lot!
