  1. I might just go and do that, Erik I've checked some how-tos on the web and they mostly recomend the "meant-for-it" liquids.
  2. Clean and beautiful Nice colors and great BMF job!
  3. Not too much of an F1 fan, but this model looks fantastic! Great job!
  4. Looks good clean, but she's even hotter when she is dirty... Great weathering, Jared! How did you do it? Add some wiper trails on the windshield and it'll totally look like 1:1
  5. Going for the racing version was a good decision, Jürgen - this looks GREAT!
  6. Tamiya's acrylic clear cracks over their acrylics? Wow... Didn't know that. Thank you for the tip, 935k3 What the heck was Tamiya thinking...
  7. Ok, guys, here's the deal: I want to make my Tamiya acrylic paint crack into small, tiny cracks. What house-hold chemistry should I spray or pour over it? I tryed nail-enamel-remover, alcohol, nitro thinner, Revell Colormix... Nothing happened... :/ Any advice? If it's easier to make Revell enamels crack with something, just let me know. Heck, I'll paint the vinyl roof with enamels, then... Thank you for any advice! Best regards, Damir
  8. That idea for the upholstery inserts is just crazy! Love how the car looks so far!
  9. That engine is just insane! And the shifter looks stuning, too!
  10. Darn, I wish I saw that comment before, Fred... :/ Yesterday I still could have fixed it, but now it's a bit too late... Bummer... Did a bit of dry-brushing: Almost finished steering wheel: Dry-brushed the radiator ribs: Engine gets closer to completion: TBC!
  11. A lil' bit of detailing on the engine and some other parts: Scratch-building of the ignition distributor: Dashboard: I know, I need to fix that silver... Dry-brush on the rims: Revell enamels and salt-chipping technique don't mix... I had problems removing the salt from the painted bumper... TBC!
  12. Thanx, guys! On we go Salted, painted, unsalted...
  13. Wow, great work so far! Love the way you made those seats
  14. Nice start and great work so far! About that rear window: Just use the model's own back window - it already has the shape you need Cut the hole, glue it to the body and putty/sand it down to eliminate any seams
  15. You've managed to get this far in a week?! Wow... Looking great!
  16. Too bad you didn't sand off the mould lines. It would look even better in that color
  17. Yes, Terry, that is the kind of message I was hoping for Great to know you're ok! Recover quickly and without any complications!
  18. Thank you for a detailed answer, Dominik! Since I don't have Schimcke colors I will try using Tamiya or Revell colors. Hope it works If I get anywhere close to your result, I will the happiest man around for a few days
  19. Wood hauling wood on wood - now how lovely is that?! Great work, Torgny!
  20. Reading your post brought that weird feeling in my throat, Craig... So sorry for your loss, buddy. My condolences to you and your family. They say time heals, but losing a loved one... Not sure... Don't change - she loved you as you are and wherever she is now, she wouldn't like to see you change. Keep the memories of her alive and stay strong.
  21. Thank you for your comments, guys! Sonny: As James mentioned - Dr. Cranky explains it all in his tutorials However, I will make a short how-to with a few pictures and post it in the following days. It's just... My days are way too short and I just can't find the time to do it... :/
