  1. I've never purchased from them. Ordered some decals once, was quoted $20 shipping, no thanks! I have purchased from a great supplier on ebay who charges just a few dollars for shipping to NZ, Slixx are very reasonable too.
  2. Nice job - I noticed you opened the vents in the teardrop hood too
  3. Nice build Rob
  4. Great build
  5. As always, thanks for sharing Tom on behalf of us 'long distance' modellers.
  6. Agreed, and I like the wheels on the '49 - are they from the Revell '67 Chevelle?
  7. I've built two and thoroughly enjoyed the projects - almost Tamiya-like . Don't recall any problems, just take your time and they go together very well.
  8. Nice job Chris - I'm sure your father would have been proud.
  9. Nice work Pat
  10. Another great build Carl
  11. Nice work Niko
  12. Hi Stan, welcome aboard and looking forward to seeing your builds - whereabouts in our big little city are you?
  13. X2 Nick, great to see it finished
  14. Turned out great Arnaldo
  15. Agreed. Once you've mastered BMF, you'll never use silver paint for trim again
  16. Thanks everyone for the comments. Al, I used TS19 Metallic Blue and TS49 Bright Red. The blue may be a tad dark, but it seems to vary on the photos of the real cars I have seen.
  17. Wonderful job Alex, looks better than decals anyway
  18. Great build Arnaldo As it's a model, I say go without the grill, adds to the menacing look of the car.
  19. Sorry to hear that Adam, hope you make a full recovery. Best wishes.
  20. Another great build Carl, great paint as usual
  21. In another topic it was asked how much we spend to complete a model. This is my most expensive by a long way, having started with an original MPC kit with awful decals. When the out of production Slixx sheet came up on ebay, I had to buy it for this kit (at least it will do another three cars ). Paint is all Tamiya rattle can.
  22. Great kitbash of a great car Mark
  23. Built this as a curbside from the AMT kit, and for a change used car paint 'Acid Rush' with some Tamiya iridescent and pearl clear. Shaved the door handles, lost the quarter lights and ride height lowered slightly at the front, wheels are by Pegasus. And yes, it has a rear view mirror, which I had to pirate from another kit
