  1. Quite a productive year despite a lull for a couple of months..First one is my entry in this year's Cannonball CBP, a Saleen powered '65 Mustang
  2. Nice, clean builds Peter, well done!
  3. Wonderful work Ken, we have similar tastes but alas not similar skills . I followed your '62 Corvette build in awe!
  4. Nice collection you got there, Ron, you've had a great year
  5. Got some work done on the chassis, now painted and lowered slightly from 'stock'. Had to raise the upper shock mounts at the rear, also drilled the rear axle to accept a parts box metal axle. Plenty of sanding to remove mold lines from the body and a bit of wrestling with the whole kit to minimise warpage. So far, all four tyres touch the ground and yes, Ray, it is a fine chassis - might have to get the recent reissue
  6. Nice work Sam, it's been a good year
  7. Thanks jb, I must confess that the photo doesn't do the warpage justice . I built it many years ago and I'm sure it's got worse with age! P.S. If you're not going to build it, I'd be more than happy to relieve you of the wheels/tyres LOL
  8. Haven't been building much lately, so I've started using these threads as an incentive to keep things moving. I've previously built the Lil Coffin kit OOB, but the wheel/tyre combo is so good a set was donated to another project. Our club is having a 'Hemi' night so I thought I would combine some Pegasus tyres/rims with a spare Lil Coffin kit I had lying around. To keep with the modern theme, colour will be the new Forest Green from Tamiya, as used on Aston Martins. Another suggestion for a theme night was 'Sacrilege', so I guess this would qualify for that theme too
  9. Hi Nick I'm proud to be the first entry (I hope ) Put me down for a 1967 Corvette roadster
  10. Bit slow off the mark, but here is my take on the latest '32 from Revell Built mainly OOB with a little plumbing and wiring, painted with Tamiya TS20. This is my 12th build from the Revell '32 series, still got a few more in the pile
  11. With fingers firmly crossed, added the stripes this morning. Not much touch up required, will leave for a couple of days again prior to sanding the ridges and applying clear to blend everything together. Also finshed the engine with a little wiring/plumbing added.
  12. Completed the bodymods by removing bumper mounting holes in rear valence, mounting the de-chromed rear bumper and filling a couple of sink marks above the headlights. Applied a few coats of Tamiya Racing Blue (TS51) followed by a light coat of clear to seal it. Will let this cure for a couple of days while I pluck up courage to mask and apply stripes
  13. Thanks for all your efforts this year Nick and I look forward to next year's theme.
  14. Cool build
  15. Hi Josh, Nick has set up a new poll in 'Under Glass' http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82840
  16. Our club has its annual display at a national car show next month and will be featuring Mustangs as part of the 50th anniversary (Mustangs, not the club ) I hope to submit a few entries, and this is my latest project, combining the Revell convertible and GT350R kits. So far the front valance has been fitted to the convertible body and the fastback interior has been modified to fit. Wheels are from the AMT '66 kit and paint is likely to be Tamiya Racing Blue metallic with silver stripes.
  17. Impala looks great Karl
  18. Great build Ronny Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
  19. Wow - great job, smooth paint, opening doors are nicely done. good job all round.
  20. Count me in for next year I finished my build back in May and she hasn't been on the road since.. better start her up to make sure she's running sweet ready for the race
  21. I'm liking this a lot
  22. Very nice build
  23. Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I had a blast building this kit. Mike, I just used Tamiya masking tape over the Pearl White and applied a few light coats of Testors Inca Gold, followed by some Tamiya clear orange, both straight from the can.
  24. Great builds Peter, and I always enjoy your narratives, however 'long-winded'
