  1. Now finished and in 'Under Glass' section http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83574#entry1080906
  2. My first completion of 2014, a phantom GT350R convertible combining the Revell 1964 1/2 convertible and GT350R fastback. Paint is Tamiya Dark Racing Blue with Gloss Aluminium stripes. Interior is Light Blue Pearl with embossing powder for carpet. Many parts from the Model Car Garage photoetch set were used to add detail, along with a little wiring, plumbing and exhaust tips from an unknown recent Revell kit. Wheels from the AMT '66 Mustang reissue.
  3. Outstanding builds Bernard
  4. I just found this thread and am blown away by the artistry. I can't draw to save my life, but John and Ken have produced some amazing work - there are no losers in my view. Well done guys
  5. Wow, you've been busy - how did you find the time to make the video?? Lots of eye candy and great models.
  6. Well guys, here's how she looks at year end. Started detailing the interior with some Model Car Garage photoetch and black embossing powder for the carpet. The paintwork has been polished and I added the GT350 sidescoops and photoetched bonnet pins, which severely tested my old eyes . Happy new year everyone!
  7. Some unusual builds there Mark, made me feel quite homesick seeing the British Gas van I was having the same problem with photobucket using IE, switched to Firefox and it worked fine
  8. Looks great Al, looks like you have mastered Tamiya paints. Mine is hopefully on its way from the US, can't wait to start on it
  9. I agree with everyone else, simply stunning!
  10. Beautiful work James
  11. Nice builds, Neil, especially the Buick
  12. Great builds there Dominik.
  13. Great work Shane, I like your style.
  14. That's quite a collection, you couldn't fit them all in a group shot! Nice work.

    Class of 2013

Great builds Andy, glad to see you haven't lost your touch. We met at Doncaster in 2000 (I think), you brought a lowrider Galaxie 1946 lowrider IIRC. Best wishes for 2014.
  16. Many of us are posting our 2013 completed builds (myself included) but here are a few that haven't quite reached the finish line in time The GT350R convertible and Lil' Coffin have build threads: The McLaren is about 90% done: and these three have had bodies painted but still awaiting polishing etc: The Revell '62 Vette using the real flames decal (matt finish so clearcoat required ) The Trumpeter custom '64 Falcon (with Tamiya Metallic Orange, again ) and finally, another Mustang for our upcoming club display

    2013 pt.2

Nice builds Bruce, the Imperial is awesome.
  18. It's called Metallic Forest Green and goes under the code TS which suggests it's a limited edition (the metallic orange also has code TS).
  19. Thanks for the comments guys. I've had these in my parts box for a while, but I'm pretty sure they are 19'' and 23'' Chrome DZ's.
  20. Some great builds there, Niko, well done!
  21. Engine fitted, this is how she looks now, got to hang the doors next
  22. Nice builds Al, you've been busy.
  23. Spent quite some time filling sink marks on the 'running boards' and a long one above the rear grille opening, and also blending the nosepiece together. Does anyone know if the recent reissue is molded better, ie fewer sinkmarks and less warpage? Just applied the first coats of paint, which appears bluer in the pics than real life, true colour is closer to the earlier chassis pic. I was a bit worried about applying paint from a spraycan into all those nooks and crannies but think I got away with it, mainly thanks to Mr. Tamiya's excellent paint products . Will let this air off for a few days before clearcoating with Tamiya lacquer.
  24. Everyone else has said it already, but great builds, especially the Vicky!
  25. Thanks Carl, I think you're my biggest fan, I hadn't even finished posting them!
