  1. I will be watching closely - a model inspired by the 1:1 is on my to do list too As soon as I saw your blue 'n white seats I knew where you were going with this
  2. Some great builds there, thanks for sharing
  3. I'm with you regarding the cleaning brushes Harry, used to use one all the time. When I emigrated to NZ 10 years ago, I left my hi fi and all my albums in the UK (I travelled light). Now all my vinyl is in the hands of my three sons (in their twenties) and my musical tastes have largely been passed on to the next generation.
  4. All in all, looks like it turned out great Jonathan
  5. Sgt. Pepper was the first ever album I bought, after seeing 'Yellow Submarine' at the cinema - I bought it for 'Lucy in the sky with Diamonds' which didn't appear on the movie soundtrack (IIRC).
  6. Has it anything to do with the 'view new content' settings on the left of the page?
  7. As a teen in the UK during the early 70's I used to go round to my friends to listen to albums. Travelling on the bus, I thought it 'cool' to have desirable albums in my arms with which to impress other passengers . Those that come to mind include Dark Side of the Moon, Led Zep IV, Tubular Bells, Fragile, all with vinyl sleeves that were part of the whole experience. Don't get that nowadays with downloads and MP3 files
  8. That's my starter for 10... bestest, M. And I'll add: 9) Thin, clear, distortion-free glass that fits well with good bonding surfaces (or even better, a snap fit) 10) Minimal mould lines. I recently built a newly issued kit and spent a lot of time removing mould lines from virtually every part.
  9. Superb Yuri
  10. Built out of box using kit 'real flame' decals and Tamiya rattle can paint
  11. Hi Stan PM sent
  12. Thanks from down under too!
  13. I like to think I have a relatively wide span of car interests, and my latest two builds are a good example. Just finished today is a Fujimi McLaren MP4-12C, finished OOB but with decals by a French company, Pitwall, obtained from Spotmodel in Spain - these are excellent, very thin, little carrier film and crystal clear. The '49 Merc wagon was painted and decaled within 36 hours of first opening the box, has taken a further two months to finish it! Again, an OOB build but lowered slightly and using parts box hubcaps due to incomplete chrome on the originals . Paint is Tamiya Metallic Green and USAF tan with a little drybrushing for wood effect. Dark wood is the kit decals.
  14. As I said in the other thread, European Show - wonderful variety, creativity and craftsmanship - tres bon!
  15. Many thanks for sharing, Michael. As with most European shows I've seen, the variety, creativity and craftsmanship is second to none
  16. Looking good Jonathan
  17. Nice start Jonathan, are you going to use the Tamiya Metallic Orange?
  18. Looks great!

    cool build Dave
  20. Finally got one of my Holy Grails. Not in the best condition, but hopefully salvageable. Body is unpainted, steering wheel is missing so will have to raid the partsbox. Came with only three original wheels/tyres (free to anyone who asks), but I already had different rolling stock planned....
