  2. Nice start guys - your engine looks great Paul and impressive work on the louvres Mike. Hope to start on the Audi soon, but here's a couple of McLaren GT3 cars I've built. Just ordered a third set of decals, so could I add that to my entry?
  3. Here's my entry: Manufacturer: Audi Model: R10 TDI FIA Classification: LMP1 Base Kit: Revell of Germany Scale: 1/24th Just ordered a photoetch set to go with this

  10. Cheers Mike. Count me in with the ROG Audi R10 TDI, winner of the 2006 Le Mans.
  11. I'm keen to join in with an Audi R10, but as an endurance builder I hope to have more than 24 hrs to complete the model . Is there a timescale?
  12. Looks great Robert
  13. Great start Robert. I've built a couple of these Jeremy and they go together well for the most part. Only tricky bit I had was the little aerodynamic aids at the front, otherwise they are a delight to work on.

  20. That looks great Jake . These are really good kits, aren't they?
  21. Thanks for the kind comments guys, I had a blast building this kit Scott, the wheels came from the AMT 1965 Buick Riviera, I used the wheel backs from the Kyote kit.
  22. Built from the MPC kit which I recently acquired off ebay, partly started. Built OOB with the exception of parts box wheels and front tyres, painted Tamiya Metallic Orange. The windshield frame broke into three pieces when removing it from the sprue so a little careful surgery was required otherwise no real problems.
  23. Luckily, being from the UK, I got to see Led Zep in January 1973 at a local concert venue which probably held less than 2,000 (before the days of arenas). I was still at school at the time. Saw them again in 1979 at Knebworth with 100k others, just before Bonzo's passing. As with some other posters, never got to see Pink Floyd back in the day, turned down a chance to see The Wall at Wembley in 1980 - doh!
  24. IIRC, original vinyl masters are cut with a parallel arm. These turntables were meant to reproduce (sic) that motion. However, the fact that the arm was motor driven meant that the stylus didn't follow the groove any better than using a regular arm, hence their demise. Around that time I had insufficient funds for a high end system but read the hifi mags every month - a system built around the Linn Sondek turntable was my dream at the time!
  25. Paul, the 1:1 is pretty sweet! It's still to be seen whether or not I can pull the paint job off..... To show it can be done, and maybe some inspiration for you, here's one from France
