  1. Very nice build Tim - looks great . I can empathise regarding colour choice - I too use Tamiya spraycans and have an AMT Street Machine '57 to build - can't decide on the colour as yet
  2. I have built a variation of Revell's '32 Fords each year for the last 8 or 9 years. Started this kit over the holidays, but didn't quite finish it before the year end. The 5-window body style was fitted to the chassis/running gear of the Stacey David roadster, finished in Testor's Lime Ice. Radir wheels are from the '64 Thunderbolt kit with parts box tyres and an MCG photoetch grill replaces the kit piece. The injection system is an ebay purchase, with a resin manifold and gorgeous metal tubes for the stacks. If anyone knows the manufacturer, please let me know. On to the pictures...
  3. Great build Jonathan
  4. Beautiful builds Michael
  5. Great builds Ken
  6. Some great builds there, Bruce.
  7. Nice collection
  8. Nice builds Dennis, I'm lovin the '34
  9. Beautiful craftsmanship Harry. That Deusenberg is a 'duesy'.
  10. You must have been unlucky with the DTM kits. I've built all three of the recent issues and they were superb kits, almost on a par with Tamiya in quality. I agree about the boxes though - more like a 'packet' than a box.
  11. Great builds Shane - you had a great year.
  12. Nice clean work Alan - especially the Olds wagon LOL
  13. Excellent builds
  14. Beautiful builds, Steve
  15. Numbers down a little this year, but some enjoyable builds bookended by Mustangs, appropriately in the year of the horse.
  16. Good looking builds Peter.
  17. If there were a 'like' button, I'd use it here - well said Bill
  18. x3, Tamiya for me too
  19. The TS-92 is a great paint - this is how it looks straight from the can with a clearcoat. Not quite as rich as in your pic, but some Tamiya clear orange over the top will darken the colour. As suggested, test on a plastic spoon first.
  20. Looks great Tom, plus I enjoyed the videos
  21. Beautiful
  22. As an overseas buyer, I would welcome the feature suggested by Gary. Kits are expensive here in NZ, so most of my purchases are from ebay sellers. There are many vendors who charge ridiculous prices for international shipping, including one today who was charging $68 for a kit that only cost $25 or so . It costs as little as $15 to ship here, including Electronic USPS Delivery Confirmation International. I have a few saved sellers who charge these low rates and they frequently get my business, as do Far East suppliers of Japanese kits that ship for about $12. Why is it so expensive from the US? I would gladly exclude vendors with exorbitant shipping costs (say over $30). And I agree about the NASCAR decals, it ran to several pages recently!!
  23. That looks really nice Darryl. There's nothing wrong with curbsides, once they're on the shelf they look just as good as full detail kits IMHO.
