  1. Looks great, nice job so far !
  2. Nice build Dominik
  3. Happy birthday Carl - hope it's a good one
  4. Superb build Shane
  5. Next time buid a car without a hood Shane, LOL. Looking forward to seeing it in 'Under Glass' and good luck at the show.
  6. The new window frame and other mods look great Greg. I'm sure you're inspired to see this one through now
  7. Yup, it came in three different liveries. I have one in my stash for when I have the courage to build it
  8. Pulled it together this morning. I used the kits optional bullet taillamps, but I think they are a tad too small
  9. I built my first version of this kit many years ago, and wanted to do another variation. I used the kit fender skirts, but reduced them in height and added three slits for some chrome trim spears, which were made from styrene strip covered in Bare Metal Foil. Otherwise this is mainly an OOB build with parts box wheels and some plug wiring. The front grill insert came from the AMT 1949 Ford (I think). Paint is Tamiya rattlecan, Coral Blue with a Racing White interior. I brushed some enamel Titanium Gold accents on the upholstery. This really is a great kit with excellent parts fit and ease of construction.
  10. Great build Nick
  11. Cheers Carl - the accent gold was brushed using bottle enamel.
  12. The finished interior has been joined with the chassis. Colours are Tamiya Racing White with Titanium Gold accents. I've just treated the windows to some BMF, so hopefully not long to go now!
  13. I can't wait for this, whatever is kitted!
  14. Great start.
  15. Very cool - great build
  16. Great start Aaron
  17. Rolling chassis has been completed, the engine received plug wires and the chassis was built out of box because the kit has a nice ride height as it comes. Since they are mostly hidden by the skirts, I'm using parts box rear tyres which will have handpainted whitewalls similar to the photo below. The two kit wheels/tyres will find their way onto the front of another build.
  18. Yep, lots of tributes coming through on his facebook page from respected sources.
  19. Thanks for the how-to Bill, and great workmanship as always from you. Looking forward to updates.
  20. Good start Richard.
  21. This is my second build from the excellent Revell kit, and is long overdue. The kit fender skirts have been used, shortened in height and with three slots added for some side trim spears. Paint is my usual Tamiya rattlecan, this time using Coral Blue. Custom Mercs are frequently covered in dark metallic paint, so I thought I would try something different this time. Of course, a very famous custom was painted in a pastel shade, so not exactly new ground .
  22. Tom, it's Duplicolour Aquarius Blue Metallic Michael, I removed the chrome plating with Easy Off oven cleaner, then primed and applied Tamiya TS84 Metallic Gold. Thanks for the comments everyone.
  23. This is the AMT Bantam Blast fuel altered with aftermarket decals. The front coil/shocks were replaced with scratchbuilt items and basic wiring and plumbing has been added. The paint is Duplicolour with Tamiya Clear.
