  1. Agreed, I thought we had seen the last of new products, but this is good news indeed.
  2. Your build looks great - I'm tempted to buy one now
  3. Looks killer, Shane. Terrific work.
  4. Here you go, Mike
  5. Just completed this build after a slight mishap with the paint/foil during final assembly (ahem) . Lowered all round and the rear wheel wells were tubbed slightly to clear the Pegasus wheels/tyres. Otherwise built out of box, including the supercharger parts. Paint is Tamiya rattle can, Forest Green and Champagne Gold. I deliberately omitted the headlight housing extensions because I don't like the 'bug-eyed' look of the stock vehicle.
  6. Beautiful build Marcos
  7. Thanks for setting this up Tim & Phil, here's mine.
  8. ..could we start by each builder posting an image of their build(s) on this thread?
  9. Beautiful!
  10. I'd watch it if I could, not available down here
  11. I've been watching it on You Tube for over a year now, I prefer it to Top Gear
  12. That's a great build Tim. I am currently doing one very similar to this, but mine uses Pegasus Torque Thrust wheels. My headlights are the same as yours, I wonder if anyone else has noticed what you did?
  13. Well done Carl, you should be pleased with the result. It's basic kitbashing and will help you with future projects. I also prefer the flush fitting look of the doors and I have built two similar Model A conversions myself.
  14. Thanks for the comments everyone Yes Monty, a second rear bumper without the continental kit is also included.
  15. Another great build Hanabi
  16. In complete contrast to my recent '57 Street Racer based on the AMT kit, here's a different interpretation based on the Revell convertible. Built OOB with the exception of lowering all round and the Pegasus wheels/tyres, it's covered in Tamiya paint as usual for me. Body colour is Metallic Red, then Pearl Clear topped with Transparent Red, the interior is Pearl White. Thanks for looking.
  17. Nice kustom
  18. Very nice Dennis, a great build.
  19. The picture at the end of Jonathan's opening post suggests a wrong hand drive dash will be included . I also note the female driver figure which will add to the misconception that this is a girl's car - as the owner of a 1:1 MX5, this is most annoying!
  20. Many thanks for sharing, some beautiful build there.
  21. Very nice build Stephen.
  22. Thanks everyone. Chris, the rear bumper is the kit custom bumper, I just mounted it a little higher.
  23. Hi Nick, welcome back!
  24. I saw a photo of the Ted Leventhal 1950 Chevy and was inspired to build this based on the AMT '51 convertible. The hood and deck were shaved, the side trim was removed and replaced with plastic rod and scratchbuilt skirts fitted to the rear fenders. Paint is Tamiya rattle can, transparent green over TS21 Gold with Racing White on the lower body. Interior is Racing Green and a light coat of white primer over the cream coloured plastic, then dullcoted. Front chrome and dummy sidepipes are from the Revell 1949 Merc - so called because this dummy forgot to fit the kit exhausts before installing the rear suspension . Hence it's now a curbside build.
  25. Thank you very much Tim. I would love to attend a show in the States sometime, I always check out the model show photo coverage here on the forum.
