  1. My first completed build for several months due to relocation to a new city. It's based on the 1990's issue of the AMT street machine version. Paint is Tamiya German Grey, the induction set up is from the Stacey David Rat Roaster and the aluminium front wheels came from Pro Track
  2. Here's my 30/31 Model A sporting Pegasus wheels/tyres on a '32 chassis
  3. Nice build Curtis
  4. Looks good to my eyes too, Jonathan

    Gulf McLaren

This is the Fujimi version, painted with Tamiya orange and dark gunmetal. I managed to find a can of auto paint that is remarkably close to Gulf blue. Built entirely out of box for our recent club theme night. On to the pics....
  6. Nice work Jim, really suits that colour
  7. I've had this happen several times, and I almost exclusively use Tamiya paint. The paint seems to 'orientate' itself with the swirl marks in the raw plastic. Not sure of a solution, but i have tried these two methods with varying degrees of success: 1) Try building up the paint in mist coats. This sometimes solves the problem, but beware heavy clear coats afterwards. 2) Strip the paint from a smaller part, and sand the raw pastic with fine sandpaper. Repeat the painting process (light coats) and see if this works. If it does, the good news is you have solved the problem - bad news, you have to repeat on all the other parts . Good luck
  8. Very nice build Mike
  9. Glad to hear you're well Harry.
  10. Thanks everyone. Mike, the paint is Duplicolor Acid Rush, a Ford colour here in New Zealand.
  11. Terrific job, well done
  12. Nice looking T-bucket, Ray.
  13. Built OOB from the Model King issue with Slixx decals and automotive paint, except for stock 1/24 hood trimmed to fit and with cutout for injector stacks.
  14. Very nice build Carl
  15. Hi and a big welcome from me too. Born and bred in Halifax, moved to NZ when I was 50. Furthermore, Kiwis call NZ God's own country!
  16. Reading that all cars look alike today. It's not as though it hasn't happened before........... 1934 Ford 1934 Chevy or how about and
  17. I'm not American and wasn't there in the '50's, but what were hot rodders doing putting them new fangled Olds and soul-less small block Chevies in their cars? Why didn't they stick with the flatheads that were used in the good old days of hot rodding in the '40's?
  18. Latest build - Revell '68 Hemi Dart with Slixx decals. Built out of box, Tamiya Racing Blue and White out of the can.
  19. nice 'Stang
  20. Now I remember too, the decals are on the yet to be released woody version of Galaxie's 46-48 Aerosedan . http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=57316&page=10
  21. This guy has them Jesse http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-scale-model-Rockford-Files-license-tag-plates-/181630798706?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4a0a0b72
  22. Superb work Cesar, and thanks for the photo tutorials.
  23. IIRC, the original GT40 was designed and built in the UK. Admittedly, horsepower was US sourced. Only the MkIV was entirely American.
  24. Quality, not quantity, Tom. Some nice, clean builds there.
  25. Can't beat an 'A' on '32 rails - nice one
