  1. Wonderful. Looks like you really got the look right.
  2. My PT Cruiser, like all PTs, was built in Mexico. Even if you say it depends on what country of origin the profits are going still won't clarify anything. If Toyota is creating 10-Thousand-plus American jobs, why boycott them? Should I not buy Chrysler because the PT's a Mexican car? People who are brand loyal because it's an "American" car are only proclaiming their own ignorance.
  3. Dude, my admiration for your work knows no bounds. That's some intense fitting, fiddling and smoothing. Sorry about the hood fit, but the execution is amazing.
  4. Hmm. This makes me rethink this whole kit. Mine's been half built for a decade too because I didn't like my choices but didn't know where to go with it. Nice work.
  5. Dave, Anything you post to this forum I consider a must-read. Your posts are always insightful, informative and appreciated. Thanks for the info, which I know took you a while to write for us.
  6. Slip into your nylon print shirt, corduroy pants and platform shoes, foof up the manfro and pop in an 8-track, cuz this ride's going to Funkytown. Every inch of this oozes the era. Fabulous work man.
  7. Fun with BMF. Excellent and unusual subject. Beautiful workmanship. Pleasing to look at.
  8. Beautiful model. I love what you've done.
  9. I wonder if the wheels are from one of the MPC GTO offerings. I think they also came with the '72.
  10. This. Not a car, short run, 1/72 long out of production. Had resin cast landing gear with air bubbles so bad that half the struts aren't even there. Still glad I have it though, just working & hoping to find gear for it.
  11. Super clean! So if you drilled out the headlights, what did you use for lenses? They look as good as any I've seen.
  12. I guess I need to pay more attention during the summer months. Dominik, thanks for the reminder in the "300 ways to build..." CBP. This is awesome and sorry I missed it the first time around. Worth showing off again.
  13. Pat, considering the theme of the 2015 Cannonball, would you consider a tutorial, or at least some pointers with some tips on how you did the weathering on this 2014 entry? Thanks.
  14. Beautiful colors and attitude. Nice work.
  15. Glad you reposted this. It should be part of the permanent record.
  16. Congratulations Erik. An amazing build and a worthy first place winner.
  17. Congratulations Erik. An amazing build and a worthy first place winner. Thanks for all your troubles Rob, and for keeping this game on track.
  18. Stream-of-consciousness modeling. Now that's when the hobby crosses over into art. I love anything different and this is different. Nice work.
  19. I searched Googles cached files and found a fairly complete list of the finalists entries. Perhaps we can salvage Dominiks photos from there. Here is the link.
  20. Glad you're able to get some bench time Adam, kind of missed you this year. Your 62 Chev Cannonballer from previous years sort of validated my thoughts on this years ('69 Torino) build. Hope to see you next year.
  21. Superb. Worth the wait.
