Haha that is a good one Billy, I completely get what you are saying Manny ,but in reality that is exactly how "we" modify real car's. Might be slightly more complicated and might involve a welder instead of Tenax ,but cut, weld, fill, sand, prime ect. just like 1:25 scale. How about this one, what should I do about that huge glue mark on the passenger side door?.......Just display it on the driver's side and no one will know. lol

I binged some 401 AMC engine images ,but really had no clue the 304 would be a closer match....you really helped me out there. Thanks for the info and link John...that is cool that you cared enough to share that with me. No dig to the builder of that model at all....it is a very cool model ,but I want mine to be more authentic...no hemi or chevy, modern safety devices, exact paint/decal match ect. Thank's again guy's...I can always count on the MCM gang.

Yes I believe the JoHan kit does have the 401...in fact it is the only kit I am aware of that has that motor and I am not willing to spend that kind of money. The Gremlin has the 304 so not going to work. I believe I will modify one of the many Chevy block's I have...my main need is engine and Interior shot's. I can see from one photo I have Don is running a modern mulit point roll bar. Thank's for the intrest James, working on the flip mechanism now.

I am not really a person who build's replica's ,but something about Don Moyer's Rebel Reaper B/gas Willys has struck a cord. I have every photo from the internet and a little info on the car already. It is a fiberglass car on a '37 Willys frame, the fiberglass flip nose front is a original gasser era piece. Rather than a Chevy or Hemi, Don has chose a 401 AMC motor...not sure what kit I could source that from? Any picture's of the interior or motor would be awesome, if anyone knows how I could reach Don himself that would also be great. Any personal info can be messaged to me for privacy...Thank's guy's Hangin' the hoop's...what the Rebel Reaper does best This is what I have so far.....

Marcos Cruz, Cliff Read and Tim Boyd on the cover, don't get much better than that. I love this magazine...every issue, I actually wanted to write Gregg and comment on many of the little detail's the staff get's into every issue. I love all the new part's and tool's that are showcased as well, MCM is very up to date on that stuff. Thank's for the great mag MCM staff.

This thing is looking wicked, I REALLY REALLY like that you didn't wait around to pay top $ for a rare kit...instead you just modified and customized what was available. Good call on the R&M stuff, I often customize my wheel's to suit my need's.

I think I like this one better than the Yamaha, you did a real nice job on it. Are the fairing's and plastic's molded in two pieces like most of Tamiya's bike kit's? The reason I ask is because you did a killer job molding them, paying close attention to even the underside. I had so much fun building the Ducati that I got two more build's, 916 Ducati and I am working on the Ajinomoto NSR 250 Race Bike. These thing's are fun.
