  1. Is that an original issue or a reissue from the 90's? original issue was molded in blue and the reissue is molded in grey if I recall correctly. plus an original issue will not have a barcode on the box. the original issue has a bunch of cool custom parts that were not in the later issues.
  2. My local home hardware carries it. Maybe check to see if they can order it in for you if they don't have it on the shelf.
  3. For taking parts off of the sprue that I think might get damaged buy a sprue cutter like windshield frames and some rims depending on how the gates are molded, I use a razor saw in an exacto blade handle. gives me better control of whether it will take a chunk out of the part or not.
  4. you missed at least one. Monogram released the cabriolet from the original 60's 1930 coupe/cabriolet kit as a stand-alone kit. that is why the 30 coupe kit has no fender well pockets for the side mount spare tires anymore. they tooled up a new set of fenders when they split the kit in two.
  5. I am interested as well. Can you give us some details as to just what your conversion kit will contain? Most people disagree with me but I think the 35 grill is better looking than the 36.
  6. You could always use the windshield and windshield frame out of the Impala kit as well. Then you might only have to slightly modify the quarters on the Pontiac to have the top mate properly. You could try placing a post in the wanted section, that kit is the donor required for either a modelhaus 59 Brookwood wagon or Sedan Delivery resin conversion and I know there were a couple of guys on the forum that were doing the conversion. One of the resin kits requires the Revell 59 Impala convertible and the other requires the AMT 59 El Camino, I just cannot remember which is which. I have the conversion and it does not require the body, the top, the interior or the windshield and frame from the convertible kit. I have already traded mine to someone on here that needed them or I would send them to you.
  7. Here is a link to the thread about crew cab resin cabs. Apparently the caster is also working on a king cab master. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=89962&page=1
  8. Use a nice sharp bit too.
  9. The Monogram street T Roadster has a skull shift knob. The T bucket with the little trailer included in the kit. The issue that I have has the gold plating but I think it was also issued with chrome as a goodguys kit. probably issued other times too. FWIW the skull in the T kit is just about the same size as the skulls on the rigor motor hot wheels.
  10. Go to google images and search "hot wheels rigor motor" and you may find what you are looking for. I would post an image but I am on my tablet and posting images from it is very difficult.
  11. Any updates on the 30/31 Model AA truck? Definitely interested in at least one.
  12. I would be interested as well to hear about the planned pats pack that never was.
  13. if all four bikes were in one box I would be in for a couple of them. That and if they could bring back the nailhead parts pack engine I would buy a case of them.
  14. 2 door coupe. There are 5 of them currently in my families ar collection that I would love to build replicas of.
  15. Red Deuces with torque thrust 2s on them at that. Belly button hot rod if there ever was one.
  16. That was pretty cool. I want one. They did a pretty good job recreating some of the shots in the opening sequence to the Dukes.
  17. I am looking forward to the Ford trucks and the Pontiacs. Long overdue subjects and from looking at the test shots at NNL East, you guys are doing them right. Also glad to see that one of them has a 6 cyl in it like a lot of the old Fords actually had. Dave, is there any chance of ever seeing parts packs from Moebius? I would love to have 6 or 8 of the hemi's from the Chrysler kits and would bet that they would be a good seller and I think that the 6 cyl from the Ford truck would also sell well as a stand alone item. Probably just wishful thinking but a person can always hope.
  18. lol I was just "helping" you. and yes, I think three of them were my fault.
  19. I did not even see you pick up the fire chief car. When did you sneak that one into the trunk? lol
  20. Does the two door post body come with a flat non SS hood? and is the hood available separately as well?
  21. I wonder if the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit would have any interest in it. I kind of have to disagree with you Harry, I believe the car has historical significance. not so much as a car but as an artifact. when you go to museums you see broken bits of pottery displayed that have no real monetary value or use beyond being historical artifacts from an earlier time period. I see the Belvedere in the same light. And I do believe that it is a one-of-a-kind car. It is the only automobile that I am aware of that was put into a time capsule. combine that with all of the hoopla about them digging it back up again and I believe that qualifies it for one-of-a-kind status
  22. A very accurate suggestion that a mechanic friend of mine had was " Engineers should stick to running trains and let mechanics design cars, life would be easier for everyone then." Best idea that I had heard in a long time.
  23. They are not from the 69 Chevelle kit. The wheels in the Chevelle kit have posts on the back of the rim for the metal axles and the center of the wheel face has no lug nut details at all, just a smooth surface to glue the caps in place. Those do definitely look to be a Comaro/Corvette style rally wheel though. I also have a couple of those in my parts box and always wondered what kit they had come out of.
  24. Yes there are. But the type of flames that will help it use gasoline and a match.
