Outta sight kitbashing Tim!

Since nobody mentioned it the interior is fantastic (lol). I have never seen more realistic texture. Really cool build of a really cool car Oscar.
-
Nice improvements James and your paint is amazing.
-
Holy cow Carsten, Rauh Welt has nothing on yours man! That is one bad machine.
-
It’s a beauty Tom! Nice work.

Right on Jeremy. Seen this kit built many times but I can’t say I’ve seen a better looking one.
-
Like Jeremy said not a well proportioned kit but you made it look great. Congrats on a well deserved win Dave!
-
Yep Toni that is a stunner!
-
Donald we should have guessed you own a 1:1 Mustang! Like Michelle said great work as usual. I’ve seen folks do lighting and even did so myself on one of my builds but I don’t recall anyone’s lighting on a model looking as realistic as you do it man.

Eric I’m sorry about your father. I lost mine to the big C in 2017. Both of your builds look terrific brother. -Mark

James it has already been said by our fiends on this site but I must echo wonderful work and your overspray on the chassis is spot on! Gold looks great on those Mopar A bodies. I’m doing a gold Duster street machine now (along with 6 other projects!). No wonder I never finish anything huh?!

Great days indeed, the muscle car era! Well put Espo.

Well James as Len said it may not be the “originalest” issue but I’m sure it is one of the oldest issues. And if someone is going to build a vintage kit (read that valuable kit) then you have done it the way it should be done! Beautiful work my friend. I have a few original issue (or so I think) 1st generation Camaro kits sans boxes which came to me from a recently departed friend whose wife wanted me to have them. My friend picked them up at swap meets as built ups and he had done a bang up job of stripping the paint. Being that they were not mint in the box I don’t feel badly about building them and have already gotten 2 of them ( I received 6!) in primer. I hope to complete them this summer and just hope I can make them half as nice as your monster. Build on James! - Mark

Donald your skills are unbelievable! Great work on a true masterpiece.

ybsluos replied to Sam I Am's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sam there is indeed a Pro Street Marlin in the October 1991 SAE “Tubs” issue. There is one on eBay now along with another SAE issue. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134989186560?itmmeta=01HT23G02F6TMJMJ1MX9X9RBFB&hash=item1f6dfb8600:g:YDAAAOSwejFl~dAF&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8GZS47onql2fQkpqwopWorrQNO3UkpJu%2FwGQ9bw4gU9c559F3eZyiQQQKexhAJe7kASAwyBNsHC8ACeRIpe34cDiOAdqC4TpXiiUjuq6n%2B7TOrFqYloBlAfVwVUlx2Pq0j2C2Gu6qppkLtW9OaCAfzPo%2FCb7E3MKu%2BVl%2FnopqaWDqE7ee49nzcMChMSPvSdE7DetiK1YJuTxpfgsrQ%2BTGUaDC%2FbjQbTFavMHDKsu0nYOp7nivUhiYpjpyuodFzdNrvdNu5WxNvBGqQtgEmtUVua%2BHM1%2BesfO7K7270iTwJMEkuJjAF3G3DE0qOy%2FL8WHGA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6aBwMPQYw -

Sam there is indeed a Pro Street Marlin in the October 1991 SAE “Tubs” issue. There is currently an auction of 2 SAR issues including this one on eBay. I will try to post a link to the auction if I can figure out how! -
Wow Rich! Very impressive skills you have. I love your 1:1 and your 1/25 replica. The craftsmanship in completing the trunk area is outstanding. Rock on Brother!

Grandpa's Soxs and Martin Cuda Glue Bomb
ybsluos replied to FoMoCo66's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
It’s looking fantastic Ace and it’s really cool that you, your dad and your grandfather all built/build! My father never built plastic kits but he did give me lessons in applying /sanding putty and gave me tips on rattle can spraying to help me hone my model building skills. He also gave me many hand tools to add to my arsenal from his and my grandfather’s toolboxes. Lastly he spent plenty of cash on supplies and kits for me over the years in support of my hobby. Dad and Grandpa have passed but I still feel them near every time I use this files and side cutters etc! Your Grandfather had good taste in serious muscle too! -
https://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/1670375 Joe I hope this link works. I found this. Not sure if it’s what you are looking for or if it’s even 1/25 scale. And I don’t do 3D printing myself so I cannot vouch for the quality. In other words I know nothing about this file but I thought I’d try to help. Good luck my friend and I hope you find something to use because I agree on not wanting to buy another Parts Pack one. I have only one and while AMT did a great job on it they don’t come cheap!

Brian this is a beautifully executed build Brother!
