Eric….very wonderful build of one of my all time favorite kits. I tried to build it when I was 18 and I sprayed it Candy Transparent Red but…….I painted the flip front separately from the body. No problem until you consider that I paid no attention to counting coats or moving the pieces close together to check progress. Just painted merrily away through the afternoon only to discover I put way more coats on one piece than the other so when I mocked it up the next day it looked like it was shot with 2 different types of red!! What a dummy I was. So, knowing nothing about stripping paint and starting again I just turned the kit into a parts donor for other projects. At least I got to utilize most of the parts but the body got furecrackered! Anyhow your build took me down a funny memory lane and I thought you and our friends on this site might get a laugh. Again Eric yours is a super build-Mark
  3. Superb work Michael. A monster replica of a monster 1:1 car. Forgive me if I missed this in your description, but is your top flow K&N air cleaner 3-D printed? Im sorry about the loss of your friends too. I hate to hear of the passing of great model builders who were also great folks. They’re still building…just in a better place.
  4. Very nice Dave Love the MRC wheel/tire choice… a definite improvement over the kit provided ones.
  5. This is outta sight John! Very cool idea.
  6. Unreal workmanship Daniel. Thank you for the inspiration!
  7. Wow what a build. Cool trick with the Bare Metal. Rock on Brother!
  8. Sorry for the paint setback Bob. Fantastic build and can’t wait to see it done!
  9. Lee your chop is outstanding!

  11. It looks really sharp Mike. Good perseverance!
  12. Ridiculously beautiful build my friend…. What more can I say?
  13. Also let’s hear it for that award! That thing is gorgeous as well as deserved.
  14. Marcos Amazing work as always Brother. I love the way you kept the car stockish but kind of on roids! And of course the rake….it is of course Your rake but being that we both know Irv I have to call it the Arter rake! Lol-Mark
  15. Louis you have outdone yourself! My goodness what a sweetheart.
  16. You nailed it TJ! As I told Mr. Hay I wish Kirk of Metallica could see these as he has a 1:1 ‘36 sled.
  17. Dan this is a very nice traditional custom. As our friends have stated amazing paint! I have a feeling Metallica’s Kirk Hammett would love it. He has a similar 1:1
  18. Epic build Antonio!
  19. IMO you certainly don’t need to….that is already looking fantastic and mean!
  20. Very involved and well executed build Marcos! You should be proud Brother!- Mark
  21. This is a very nice build. I could be entirely wrong and I apologize if somebody has already mentioned this but , I believe the television show car was built by Jerry Pennington , a very popular car customizer from the 70s. He built the Devilfish and the Scorpion rear engine Corvette
  22. There is some fantastic eye candy in this thread, my friends. You all did an excellent job. Due to time constraints I only “liked” a few this afternoon but I wanted to tell all builders who shared your work that it is all awesome. Gotta dig out some of my Chargers now!
  23. I texted pictures to my friend right before I created this post, and I think he found the answer. Dragon Wagon with the bar cage and monster is what he thinks was used to create it. Happy Day!!!
