Disaster over. Had a redirection . Seat supposed to be blue but now it’s ( natural terracotta in Ferrari language.
-
I kind of mixed up the good seat with the repaired one. But painted them at the same time, but you get the idea.

Hello. Changed direction a little. The seat is supposed to be blue. But a little doggie changed the direction a little. Repaired the seat and painted it a brown/ tan color. In Ferrari language it’s ( natural terracotta) it will still match the color of the car. I’m pleased in the way the seat came out. Thought it was totaled. Here are a few pics.

hello Mr Mike. Yes it is kind of filled but I just stuffed it back in and put the putty over it. The outside is a rubber/ plastic material. Had something that might work and took a gamble. Did not have anything to lose. But somehow it worked out. Here is a pic of the primered seat. Using flexible materials on it. Glad I have this stuff at work as if I had to buy the materials, holy cow that would be expensive. Going to have to get some dye for the seat. The dye is a flexible paint,

Hello Carl. The seat might have a chance. Need to keep filling , sanding and priming. And with a prayer it will be good.

Trying to save a seat. Maybe it might have a chance. A wip right now. Need to keep sanding. Used a flexible glazing putty.

A setback on the Ferrari. My seat became a chew toy for my new puppy. I will try to fix it as a new one is two months out, here is a few pieces put together. And she is painted.

Hello, well more finished on the Gullwing. Starting to come around. There is a fantastic agora modeler that has photo etched nameplates from Russia that I’m getting. I do not know how long that will take, but we will see. Also going to fabricate knockoffs. The history of this car is pretty cool. Mercedes did not have a lot of money to build a sports car so they used the engine and components from their luxury car for this car. The engine was slanted so it would fit under the hood( bonnet) . There is so much I learned about this car. The Gullwing doors work great. Fit fantastic for those of you who like (play factor) Anyway here she is. Still a work in progress.

Fantastic! Love all of them!!!!!

Great job. For myself, a funny car is harder build than most. Everything is exposed. No mistakes. Great job on a very cool car.

Fantastic job on a kit that is barely a kit. I also have this kit and the indycals decal sheet. I hope it comes out half as good as yours, Great job sir! -
Hello beeRS. No not really. I’ve been busy with 1/8 obligations. . This is a cool kit. I will be back on her . I really miss these 1/24 kits. I will try to get back on her as soon as possible. It’s funny, I always said I will build one kit at a time so it gets finished. I saw too many model friends go off on building several kits and seems like nothing gets finished. Well now I’m there also.
