You are a very lucky man to have had the pleasure of owning one! I had a choice of a lime green 246 Dino or a silver 914-6. I bought the 914-6. Because I was told they had few problems. The 914-6 was still a fun car, just did not look as sexy as a Dino. Cool, I love the stories! Thank you for them!

Thank you dino246gt. Speaking of a Dino 246 gt, reminds me when Ferrari of Los Gatos was open. I saw the most beautiful Ferrari I ever saw at that time. It was a maroon Dino 246 gt with a beautiful tan interior. I believe it to be one of the most beautiful pininfarina design on a automobile. I have a Fujimi kit of one and am working on it a little at a time. It’s going to be maroon with a tan interior. Cool name, cool car!

Thank you Ray. Yes the Shelby Vegas shop is in full operation. I always wanted to be a part of that, now I can say I’m in. If only in miniature.

Hello CabDriver, I really like the evercoat putty. Great for models. I used a old bondo for this job. Evercoat putty is the best on models for me. I have been in the body repair business since 1969. Seen a lot of changes in this trade. The paints and fillers have come along way. They are much more expensive but work so much better. Evercoat putty does not shrink. Sands nice. I use a acid etch primer on the putty and car body. It bites into the filler and plastic or metal. This stuff is not cheap but works. I use automotive products on my builds.

WOW, nice job! I have several mustang kits from amt and you made this one look incredible. I have not started any because they look like they have sooo many issues that make my head spin. How did you correct the front tire/wheel issue? Your stance is very nice. I see some of these finished and the front tires stick out , sit too high and do not tuck in the wheelhouse like yours. I want to start the amt GT500 but I know it will have the front tire/wheel issue. Great job on a tough kit.

I agree. At least he tried something different. Sometimes it catches on and sometimes it does not. What I may dislike , someone may love it. Trying to explain this to my wife, like forever, just because you do not like it, does not mean someone else will. Had a 1980 pinto. White with a blue interior, a post office car. Had a lot of miles on it. My wife said , no one wants that thing, sold in 1 hour. You never know.
