  1. Seems we have two different topics going on here; one for the internet in Greg's shop and two, printing on the ALPS. I've been trying to get Greg set up with his shop internet but am not very knowledgeable on how this could be set up for the best performance possible. Ethernet sounds like it will work but will it handle multiple computers? What is needed to split the ethernet into multiple work stations? After much research, I found an older Mac running OS 10.1 through 10.4.11 will work with an ALPS so I bought a PowerMac G5 and outfitted it with 2GB RAM and a 1TB hard drive. I then loaded Abobe Creative Suite 4 on it so I can create vector graphics in Illustrator, which I'm very fluent in. I still need the Mac drivers for all of this to work. I hope my research is correct. If any one can provide knowledgeable assistance, we sure could use your input.
  2. Thanks for your comments Kyle. Keep checking back because there will be more to come.
  3. Thanks for your explanation Francis. Very helpful.
  4. Hi Rod and thanks for checking out Joe's Garage. Both of those items were scratch built and unfortunately glued in place so they're not able to be removed for casting.
  5. Those exhaust flanges are a thing of beauty!! I don't suppose you took any pictures of the angled brass pieces before assembling them?
  6. Curt, that is so intense and I'd say Johnny's gonna have to up his game to compete with this. Sweet ride that I'd like to take for a spin.
  7. Hey Bill, this is just plain off the charts. So I went back through this thread to see if you mentioned where you got the block walls. I didn't see it so could you share that info?
  8. There ya go Randy, you're another one who now proves he isn't human. That engine is so perfect and the detail is over the top. The small amount of weathering, I would swear you have a shrink ray. Glad to see you're back to building and posting, my friend.
  9. Simply beautimus Tim. I can't believe the details and precision you incorporate into these 1/25th scale builds of yours. I'm along for however long it takes. I'm not going anywhere.
  10. You can be assured I won't be entering any motorcycles.
  11. Very nice and well deserved. The fellas in the Cactus Club are a great bunch of guys.
  12. Oh this will be epic and I'm sure you'll make that unique body style shine. Sweetness personified.
  13. This will be epic, actually it already is. I do have one question though. How is it a build off when one of the builders is building stuff for the other builder? I'm following this one to completion.
  14. These are beautiful Raymond. Seriously impressed. What 3D rendering program are you using?
  15. You are most welcome. The modeling world needs to see this. I love this update lil' brother. And your airbrush stand is one of a kind too.
  16. Send me some pics Johnnie and I'll upload them for you. We're all dying to see your results.
  17. Your use of magnets and the metal floor is brilliant!! I think I may have to borrow that idea on my next dio.
  18. Ok Ray, here's the rendered Ben-Hur Coffee sign. Let me know of any changes.
  19. Mine's not straight at the bottom because I used I used the photo as a template, easy enough to fix. I mimicked the slight drop shadow on the Ben Hur red background coffee can. That's easy enough to fix too.
  20. Here ya go. I can skew it to fit the above black & white pic of the sign.
  21. I'm working on the word COFFEE right now then I can adjust them to fit.
  22. Done.
  23. I can render this too, quite easily too.
  24. Thanks. Got the rest of the sign done. We'll see if 'Flat32' can use it.
  25. Well, I looked and couldn't find this font. This is hand lettered. More to follow. Now I'm getting hungry.
