Can I come play?? This guy is a bit late. But I got this one waiting to come out and play I also got this one in progress now the Taurus isn't a 100% correct build. but I am replacing some of the kit stuff to get it closer than out of the box. but it being just a quick build, I'm not going through whats needed to DeSHO the body. Sure most of it will vanish when the car goes flat black

Those Camrys are everywhere still. You don't notice how many of a type a car there is till you drive one. Beside like I say they weren't very fancy back then. Ya probably see em everyday and don't even realize they are Camrys lol. Like was already said if you have a good remote Start your car isn't leaving without you. The cars I don't get are the new push button starts where all you gotta have is that fob with you. Once that cars runnin it can be gone. At work we got curious bout that so we started the car and I walked off with the fob. Guy driving was able to roll the car out the shop while I went the other way. The range on these Fobs aren't really anymore than a regular keyless entry either cause you have to have the fob nearby to unlock or start the car. -
Needs some refining obviously but its better than having nothing I'm sure. The Screwdriver is basically a small driver for tightening the screws in thermostats on home ACs. some of them can be pretty tight and the lugs the wires go on sometimes are about the size of screws in a diecast model

Most Stolen Cars Nationwide

I pretty well know how the 89 Camry is stolen just dunno why lol A lot of em once you get in the car Any key or any thing that'll fit in the ignition will start it. used to start the one we had with my leatherman while I'd be waitin for the wife to come out. Not a real exciting car tho. Not that luxurious either heck I've seen base model Corrollas nicer than the Camrys were back then -
How good a driver are you?
Rick Schmidt replied to MrObsessive's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
got an 89. I think the Right of way thing needs to be retaught no tellin how many times I have been about blasted by someone in a huge SUV on their cell phone cause they think the little Mustang don't get to go ......... oh wait Maybe thats them to into their phone to realize there was even a sign... As for the hand signals and the above question about who uses em? I have actually used em lost all signal lights on a 71 Ford I had used hand signals for about a week. I missed the one bout the fire truck ... I really tend not to chase fire trucks ....and its not like they just ride around for S&G lol. And like everyone else why do I care how many wrecks are caused by drunks ...... Yea thats gonna help me avoid him when he's about to hit me. -
Thanks for the comments guy. All the positive I'm hearing on the rotors tell me that I made a good descision on them.

FIRST TIME MODEL BUILDER NEEDS HELP!!!!
Rick Schmidt replied to Emily's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Emily I can't give you anymore great advice on how to paint this car in the color as they have already gave plenty of great tips. What I can do tho is show you the color you are planning on the actual car you are planning it on I chose this pic because it shows the color very well I think . This is Testors Candy Apple Red sprayed over a gold basecoat like has been suggested. -
Thanks, I was wondering if they'd be noticed. Kit had nothing but space there Figured a little bit of a liberty in what I put there was better than leaving nothing

Finished My 68 last night Built it pretty much box stock Testors Fathom Green paint and testors silver trim

07 Shelby GT 500 Reference
Rick Schmidt replied to Kyle's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dunno bout the fuel lines and such But there Shouldn't be any Coils or plug wires showing. I believe each plug has its own pack and all the packs are under Power by SVT plates, Which are in silver here on mine. Also note the blue on the covers and the Silver Supercharger are not correct, but a liberty I took to give it more to look at. -
Does anyone make a hood that fits?
Rick Schmidt replied to Custom Hearse's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I checked out an idea thinkin I was gonna be slick. Figured since everything else from the Revell 55 fits the AMT why not the hood, but dagnasbbit its got even more of a gap lol -

Rick Schmidt replied to tuffone20's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dunno bout the wheels but as far as I can tell You already have that grille in the kit It looks just like the stock grille with all but the center vertical bar removed or painted. I removed em in mine -
