I'll be watchin this to see how your coming. These build up into a neat little model. I had to resist changing the nose on mine. Also glad ya was able to get a set of TRXs not much in revells current line up has tires that fit these wheelbacks. I have one I got to convert to my 1/1 82 and had a time trying to get the Turbo coupe wheels on it. Ended up realizing I needed the wheel backs from a Later Mustang

Have a '58 Plymouth Question
Rick Schmidt replied to Nick Winter's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Not sure about the answer to your question but there only 1 reason I can think of why a builder who like building movie and tv cars would be asking about a 58 Plymouth hehe -
MPC Roscoes Patrol Car
Rick Schmidt replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Gary yea those wheels would look good on a truck I haven't decided yet to cut them down or look for a better set -
Just got ahold of the MPC Roscoes Patrol car Not being a big Mopar guy whats in the box looks right to me except the dirt track wide wheels. Easy fix tho. Are the Centercaps right for a stock Monaco. Dunno that I've ever seen one that still has its caps lol. Did Note something about the box. Seems somebody thought a Monaco would look better with a Cordoba?? tail end hehe. Oh and since when does Roscoe need his pistol 2 shotguns a rifle that I dunno what it is and 2 assualt rifles ?? Man them Duke boys musta been some bad dudes lol

Aoshima AE86 Sprinter Trueno Built box stock left in its molded color with the bumpers painted black Built it with the intention of being able to upgrade it as it progresses thru life ... just like a real one will headlight is off lol

Guy I know was turning one into a crew cab HD just an idea
-
Thanks guys I decided after seeing your suggestions to leave the Dam alone. Yea It does have Mirrors I forgot bout them It has little chromie ones I stashed them away for the one I'm converting to my 1/1 82 which has the chrome mirrors got later model Fox Mirrors on the cafe Racer. This way they can be black and match the car without ruining a set that can be used elsewhere

Knight Rider- Knight 2000- also known as KITT
Rick Schmidt replied to Nick Winter's topic in Model Cars
I'm all for KARR but they can keep the Super Pursuit I been wanting to do a KARR too but I gotta get both an AMT and a Revell to do so. I built my KITT using a Revell 91 so to match I'd have to base KARR the same way -
Got the 81 Mustang done today. Box stock aside from opening the lower grille and the black on the rear flares and bumper. Still debating on whether I should do the Airdam in black

1969 Dodge L700
Rick Schmidt replied to Jim B's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Jim it looks good in that color. I dunno bout this truck bein a quick build at all lol Yours might of been better than mine. Mine was a pain in the butt to get together Instructions sucked cab was warped. I glued my passenger door inand left the driver open that was fine til the first time I closed the door .... Hope no one needs in that truck lol its stuck now. I also had to leave the pieces that hinged the cab off and just let the frame pins float... everything kept binding up when they were in. Boy I sure picked a heck of a first truck lol Looking at yours makes me think I need logos lol -
I lean more towards the 34 grille. What happen to the meceredes grille ?? it could be a nice option too

Knight Rider- Knight 2000- also known as KITT
Rick Schmidt replied to Nick Winter's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Nick been a while since I watched the pilot but I wonder are you possibly thinking of Michael Longs TA?? the one he drove before he was shot. I know it was sorta implied that Kitt was built from that car. -

Terminator 3. When the TX commandeers herself a heavy crane when she gets after Connor and Kate Brewster. That TX didn't care what that thing hit. And then that look on her face when she realizes the hook is in the road .... T2 had a pretty good one too A big rig wrecker after a Dirt bike. -
Made some progress on the Mustang, but there aint a lot to show. It's a pretty simple little kit and I'm doing it pretty simple So far here's all that's done. trim is all painted interior is painted and in and I'm currently workin on the motor.... in all it's 4 cyl glory lol

What we can't fight on here ?? Now I'm mad at you Harry !!! ....... LOL -
yes somewhat simple but I enjoy the simple ones sometimes lol Not common?? oops... 1st one 2nd one Lol this one is number 3 lol ...... Oh wait I never have cared how common one is when I get an idea for it hehehe I'll for sure do her proud I love my 4 eye Foxes .... got 2 sittin out back in full scale too hehe
-
started this one the other day ... all of 5 minutes after I received it lol The 1981 Mustang Cafe Racer ..... in all of its 4 cylinder turboed Muscled glory ... Ok Before ya decide to kill Me hear me out lol ... in 1981 the Turbo 4 Mustangs made Around 140 HP .... that was more than the v8 of that year and only about 20 HP lower than the Mighty GT of 82 .... Remember we're in the 80s here ...... These little cars could give a GT mustang a good run and if ya add some twisties in the mix ya can kiss the GT goodbye.... So there ya go I'm building a 4 cylinder Mustang with a Turbo and I'm calling her Muscle... hehehe So far I got the trim done up on her going to leave the body in the nice Monogram yellow. Wish they still knew how to mold em like that. Plan is to leave the car almost as shown on the box Decals and all Only thing I'm not sure about is the grille ... or lack of. Well I need to get on it so updates will come as I go

Beautiful Tractor both the 1/1 and your build Tim. -
I dunno bout the above battle I'll stay over here where I'm safe from the shelling from that war . My veiw on the posting of another board here is that I believe it is alllowed which is why we have this section. Found many a board I enjoy thru here. What I have a problem with is the fact that I'm forced to join just to look and see what the board is about. I'm not gonna buy a car I can test drive first and I'm not gonna join a forum I can't look over first

International 4300
Rick Schmidt replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Dave thanks for the support. Yes Like ya say it was decent done, but not to my preference. the man I bought it from assumed it'd be scrapped his ad even said that. So I think it's still getting a better fate than expected. What some folks don't see is the missing parts on it. Some bit to the International Engine was awol and the nose was glued closed. Instead of figuring out whats missing and finding it I decided to go the route of a new engine. This means I can open the nose back up like it should be. For the folks who think I need a drop axle day cab hauler for that lowboy just wait I have plans for that Blue Peterbilt that does not involve a 55 Chevy front axle for a drop axle hehe -
