Oh yea Another sweet build coming from Michelangelo after seeing your previous builds I can only imagine what you are going to do to this car
-
When ya do builds with as much creativity and skill as he puts into his I think you deserve the right to be proud and can call yourself what ever you like.
-
Thanks guys I'm still tinkerin with it but I think It'll be black Sittin here lookin at the molded black is makin me think it won't look right any other way. Have come up with a new front spreader bar for it I took the headlight assembly Which was gonna need its lights cut off now anyway( no place to put a full bar with no fenders ) got to looking at the remaining bar with its cool little v8 emblem. Well now that bar and cool little emblem is a spreader bar

Started this rod tonight to go along with the sedan I'm building also. Started with a Revell Basic Builder 32 attacked the offending fenders and removed them from the frame unit. After the fenders were off I went at the body and frame to channel it. Wasn't that bad basically modify the fire wall and lop off the tail of the frame. Was gonna do another interior but decided I could make the kit part fit Which I did. Cut the floor out then removed the lower seat from the tub. Removed enough of the bottom of the tub to fit the car again and set the seat bottom back in worked perfect and a new floor will fix the ugly. Other than the mods mentioned it will be fairly box stock. Well as box stock as it can be now lol More to come as it progresses

Started me a 32 Sedan the other day after it was decided by recommendations of fellow modelers it wouldn't work for what I wanted in a delivery body I got. So far all I have is a channeled rod but its gettin on slowly, but ya can get the idea of what I'm goin for. I've also made a start on the interior by relocating the rear seat so it'll still fit. The idea of this one will be a newer rod done to look old school. Bout the best I can do with the modern stuff hiding in it without drastically changing the ride lol

Is there a resin maker out there who Makes a stock hood for the AMT 64 Lincoln Continental kit???
-
Steve thanks for the info. I hadn't thought about using a trunklid....... The box of goodies the lincoln came in has an entire trunk lid from the 65 kit in it .... not really sure I wanna know of that poor cars fate lol But now I know what to use that lid for. One way or another this old Connie will be saved

Yesterday I recieved a box from MercuryMan and in it along with other needed stuff was this monster. As ya can see it needs some work but is in decent shape. It is missing a few things like the motor and hood tho. I think I can reshape a 65 hood to work since the 64 seems to have a plain flat hood. Is the 65s Motor and chassis the same as the 64 kits ?? I know the chassis fits just fine cause its parked on one right now. I'm also curious about if this kit was reissued or did it give its life at some point for the 65s that may be giving theirs for it ??

The Amoco station Building exterior finished !
Rick Schmidt replied to Eshaver's topic in WIP: Dioramas
Ed, thats a mighty fine lookin little building I like the detail of the pipes and the tracks the bay door rides on. May have to look into doin me something like this but in more modern times where they are generally little mechanic shops. The pic of the real building is a sad one Such a nice little building left in ruin like that -
Guys thanks for the Compliments here RJ I'm sure ya will cause the car is just as nice as the original GT Camaroman I wasn't sure if you could get these Spoiler Delete but figured there would be a way, I'm glad to hear I haven't done something wrong on it by having it my way Peter I totally understand I was just struck by the one at the dealer and had never thought of it till then Dave Your wheels tried to be crooked too ?? lol I couldn't figure out what I was doin wrong lol Well Now we know its gotta be fixed on future builds
-
Finished the Naked GT500 today Other than the new colors under the hood the Engine is box stock Got the interior spruced up a bit Lowered the car at all four corners a bit and put some new shoes on it Also did a Spoiler Delete and gave it a blacked out tail panel
-
Does anyone make a resin 40 panel van?
Rick Schmidt replied to Smart-Resins's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Like this ?? Or are we talkin bout a bigger truck like one ?? Not chopped and such but if ya up to doin it the body is there last time I seen it was that weird one with the frog eyes and skirts on the fenders but the body was normal -
Been workin on this a few days and realized I haven't posted it. Seen a real GT500 at the dealer a while back that was Naked as in no striping. Decided to pull out a many times failed at painting car and go at it again with the One Coat Blazing Black Found a set of rims and tires from the revell 56 Del Ray custom and they fit the car perfectly with no mods to anything so I feel they were meant to be there lol I lowered the front a bit using another members method of removing the mounting area and found the suspension still mounts perfect after the mod so again Meant to be lol Today I worked on the engine Gave it Ford GT style covers by painting them blue instead of stock black figured the black would just vanish in a black engine bay. sprayed the SC silver instead of black hoping fo the appearance that its been changed for a better unit. No intake tube yet cause I plan on maybe making a KR style tube and filter for it. Also still gotta do a few details on it
-
Not the final price after all the guzzler tax and options down under where the stripe delete comes in 47 thou. As for how much over they want I have no idea I haven't been up there when the salesmen are there. I don't need them trying to sell me a car worth more than my house no matter how much I like it
-
Dave, thats one of the things I love about our pit. You can open it up and just check out the bottom of a car real easy and even tho I know how things work under a car or truck It's still neat to watch everything working as they drive over
-
I work in a real one everyday. No where as neat as that one tho lol Doesn't look like that one is as open as ours is tho. Ours is basically a room under the cars. that looks more like just an opening to lay in but I could be wrong. Not sure what that thing in it is either. and Pits exist in scale too lol at least in my world lol Old pic there and it seems a bit deeper when theres a car on and the light in it is on
-
Excellenty build I have a set of similar wheels for a Mustang I'm doin So ya know I love yours. Peters right too Black is difficult to do, but it looks like ya got it perfect
-
Man I seriously love that truck Only think wrong with it is it's too clean!! lol If I had a real truck like that I'd be out Mud Stomping lol Picture # 4 of it by the bush looks like its on the road ready to go out to do just that too

1982-92 Camaro
Rick Schmidt replied to Roadkill2525's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There's the revell one out there in that body style. I dunno how good it is or what year it is because we are supposed to be like natural enemies cause I'm a Mustang guy lol Seriously I dunno nothing more about it just know its around -
I'm not a fast and furious type guy I only bought my F&F 67 cause it was a Mustang lol the one above isn't the F&F version but is the same except the new parts. the F&F your getting does have a whole new engine in it along with the 289 whether its right or not I have no idea. I just know its there. Kit has 2 hoods stock and custom front seats new suspensions for the new version. Now on the 2 Suspension part I just dug mine out to see if it had any thing I could use in the above build and discovered it has a set of lowered front spindles Which I stoled lol at the height my car is sitting at now they are perfect... So ya may not have to go through all I said to lower the nose it may be able to sit how ya like out of the box
-
Lowering the rear would be done just as Dave said using blocks The front I believe could be done by simply raising the upper contol arm to the proper height with some extra plastic. and then modding the part of the lower contol arms that the spindle attaches to up to match and you can still use the stock spindles. Front spring would need to be cut too but thats easy. All Of this planning comes from my own 67 Mustang I'm working on and thats my plan to lower it a bit
-
Walls are printed bricks on paper stuck on wood ... The doors were found on some website that sells doors I copied em and resized to fit my needs and put them where I needed em
-
Yea Dave I had a Stoopid moment there. lol I Thought all GTs had that Splitter bumper, but oh well lol I'll be waiting for good pics of your friends Cause the Bullit has lost the two things I hate bout the GT the grille and the Spoiler. I never have liked the GT grille and don't like spoilers on Mustangs and the Bullitt answered that lol
-
I bought the tools that came with that set and have been using them to stock my own shop which serves as my backdrop for pictures Obviously everything in there didn't come with the set but the pics give ya a decent idea Build the 2 post lift right and it's adjustable and will hold a car up Here's the rest of the pics I don't have everything in there but will eventually http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d143/mid...dknight%20shop/
