  1. Bodine I really appreciate the offer I would kinda like to see a pic or two of the nose and tail of yours ( where I'm sure the differences lie in an SRT and one like yours ) that way I could see how much difference is there and if I wanna base model this one a bit. As for the Engine She's not going to be your typical Magnum. I seriously doubt theres any reference pics to the way shes's going to be built hehehe
  2. Started a new Interceptor unit tonight. This time instead of a 300 she's a Magnum. Its gonna be a basic Midknight Interceptor With a Turbine and all the goodies of the first Interceptor. Also going to Make use of the fact that Maggies Rear hatch opens. Gonna redo a Mars Rover toy I have to Look more like a Unmanned wheeled Drone. Right now it fits in the rear of the car with a slight mod to the car that's not really a mod I folded down the rear seat Aww aint the Little drone cute ??? Fits like a glove
  3. Here is my old pad lift. Based it off one at work Built it from the treadplate ladder and hydraulic shock of a fire truck along with coat hanger supports. Man that 9 dollar fire truck sure came in handy lol. In this pic ya can see it under the car lifted I used the coat hanger supports here instead of plastic for this reason. Lost a bit of accuracy but it holds better. The car btw is a Diecast Audi. Hows that for holding up?? Here it is today painted up. Its not looking so pretty now and has loosened up a bit around the supports so it leans more now. The lean tho is fairly accurate to the real one under load lol. She don't sit to pretty flat either another draw back to the wire supports but I assume they could be worked into its design a bit better Or just never show it without a car lifted lol. I may gather up the stuff again to do a tutorial on how to make it or at least show you the basics.
  4. Man thats coming out looking good looks like a notchback II to me. I kinda wish they'd made Notches of these and the Foxes ( my Style btw ) to go with the fastbacks
  5. Well said. I feel its not a good image to portray. I signed up for a subscription to try out the Magazine a while back, got the Contest issue which was dated a few months back and have heard or seen nothing since. I too understand there are problems come up, but Thats the kinda of stuff that will scare new subscribers off and run off current subscribers
  6. Well I finally got what I need to equip the shop fully now so its time for phase 2 of the remodel. Some of you may remember the first part where the walls were redone and its setup was cleaned up quite a bit. Well now its time to add in the second and bigger lift. Finally got a welder and torch too. Gonna take a while to do this one from start to finish due to all the small parts that are in the set of tools I got. Gonna start in with the main Equipment first Such as the lift shelving and welder the shop as its equiped now theres Bay 1 with the oil pit and 2 with the pad lift. Gonna put up that wall thats missing there. the original layout allowed me to take pics from the side. Wasn't the greatest idea tho. A shot of 2 and 3. 3 is where the 2 post lift is going and you can see the Tire rack behind 3. Bay 4 Better known as the office area now. As you can tell an office wasn't in the original plan hehe ] Heres the tool set the shop is being equiped with I'll post progress as I add each part or set of parts.
  7. Love the board and all but dang this things gettin to be as slow as my Chevette I usta have. it acts like it too Cause I'm lucky to get to the page I want.
  8. My solution was similar to Harrys. Instead of a 20 ft extension cable I just moved the phone jack. Phone lines are very simple to move and safe too. If ya feel unsafe working with a live phone wire ya can simply unplug it in the box outside. Once ya get to the point to move it ya loosen the screws on the back of the jack, ( I do it one at a time myself to keep it straight) and either loop the new length of cable to it on the jack( to retain the original jack ) or simply splice the new wire to the old. Do so with all the wires ( my jacks had 4 but only run 2). Run the wire around the rooms walls. You could hide it by putting it under the base board or just on top of it. Attach the new phone jack to match up colors to the orignal, mount the jack and ya all set.
  9. Not for this "Build off ". Just proving I don't have to be a kid and Tawk Lik a foo an rite lik 1 2 just to build a a nice clean lowrider of my own taste.
  10. The Sky scraper look aint my style, but the car on top of the wheels looks good. Looks like some work went there. Roof gone ( I'm sure it had one ) and it looks cleanly done not just hacked off. I like that paint too Only gonna be a hater here cause I can't do paint like that lol Dangit I forgot to put all the required HiRider hate stuff in that post but...
  11. Had a friend ask about the rear tires that came on the 55 stepside pickup today. Since I used all the Stepsides parts on my Cameo I had to pull it down. Figured while it was down I'd get some pics of it and post em up. Since both trucks are identical in most parts it was an easy build and is basically the Custom 55 pickup with Cameo bedsides and tailgate, even tho I actually took all the custom parts and put em in the Cameo body. Its in grey primer cause I hate white paint and white was the Cameo color.
  12. Thats comin out good. Man thats a heck of a drop lol I was originally wantin mine that low but decided against it. Also lookin at the back of your cab solved an issue I have on mine. The notch for the Driveshaft. While mine isn't as low in the rear the shaft is in the bottom of the cab now. Now I know how to solve it
  13. Tom Thats how I'd imagine the simplest rods looked Kid too off his fenders and hopped up the motor a bit. Yours came out lookin nice. Looks like it rolled straight out the old days Smart resins I'm gonna head over and look at yours next I can't remember if I seen it or not
  14. Raul I like how yours is I was going to use that cab but screwed it up on the chop. Also seeing your bed has me set on possibly shortening mine. I been thinkin on it but was unsure how it would look if I did
  15. Heres another little rod thats lurkin in my to be built stash. This one is a simple build aside from the Z'd rear and channeled body. Gonna run the kit 4 banger using the hop up parts.

Heres one I just finished up rebuilding and fixing it. This poor little rod was just a body frame and Lincoln mill in the original 60s paint. Anyone want some lead?? lol It rode around in the bed of a pickup for years. added the suspension and front headlights from the Basic Builder 32, And the Carbs and breathers from a Pie wagon. Gave it taillights from a parts box 56 Delray
  17. Got me. That Monte was actually a nice car the first time I seen it. then that blue junk on the side appeared. Looks like they tried to mask it but failed overspray and orange peel galore. and If I remember right the interior got messed up, which I assume came from them lifting the body off the frame
  18. This particular car is done how I assume most are He has managed to lift the rear and front suspension some. Front control arms are scary looking now. Hope the dude that cut em up and welded em is good if ya know what I mean. Then to lift it even higher he has the frame seperated from the body with 4 inch spacers. The cars frame is actually a bit lower than that white panel he added under the car. As for some of yalls assumptions of drivablity. Its true these things drive bad. I have driven that car in the TLE I work in. He used to bring it in for oil changes ( we think he quit cause we laughed our butts off the last time it came in lol ). This thing has the worse turning radius I have seen I bet a school bus could bust a turn faster and easier. Its ride was rough too and this was at the mighty 10 MPH I was doing in our parking lot lol I was scared to go any faster. almost didn't get it in the parking spot lol. Couple other shots I took of it when I saw it on my way home one day actually haven't seen that thing in a while
  19. Not sure if Its did yet or not but if'n it taint It will be soon.
  20. Ok thank you Gregg won't be at any shows in the future but will be waiting patiently here at home. Just got curious if I'd gotten in quick enough to get the next issue which I heard had models from the Drastics show in it hopefully I can catch pics from Bob when he gets his hehehe
  21. I just sent my Subscription form in to recieve the Mag. Now I'm curious about when I could look to recieve my first issue??
  22. Not a whole lot to update but here she sits as of now. Still a little work to be done on the hood. Got the grey part on the body ready and have replaced a lot of the parts missing from the car, Motor mounts driver seat dash a few engine bits.
  23. Ron I was thinkin that myself would be the easiest fix in this case. I also got a set from a Rally Honda look just like those I just found no lug pattern showing tho because they have the one nut in the center holds em on May use those since they look like they already have caps
  24. Dagnabbit!! yall need to quit postin up the cool Stangs lol I keep gettin ideas lol Hopin someday my 82 can be as healthy and nice looking as Bobs
  25. Hey Ron Glad to hear from the man who owns the real one. Sorry bout the hated pic but it showed what I needed lol. As for the lettin it get that bad. My 1-1 82 looks worse so don't feel bad I'll look into the louvers on the hood I have a 68 Shelby here I think has louvers on the hood have to see if I can find its hood and Swipe the louvers from it. I Swiped the rims from a long gone Focus rally car ( think it'll notice ??) I know they are 4 lug But I just aint worked out how I want to solve that yet.
