What about the rear bumper ??? is it the 06 Bumper or like the Shelbys ?? EDIT: In my weird thinking I thought the Bullit had the rear splitter type bumper like the Shelbys. all the pics I can find show otherwise so disregard my question hehehe

Went to the Ford dealer here today to get pics of a car. I found out they had a Black GT500 on the lot but wasn't really expecting to see a Naked Shelby. Yes I said naked lol This car has no stripes. It's window sticker says it has stripes so I assume it's just waiting to be told what color its stripes are but for now it looks awesome kinda has a sleeper look I may go back tommorrow when they are open and see if they'll let me at the engine for pics hehehe

Haven For Mustang Modelers
Rick Schmidt replied to 93Z34's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Signed up says I gotta wait approval from a Mod so as soon as that happens I'll be all over it -
Some of ya guys might remember this car the 2006 Mustang I did with 67 Styling Cues. Well this might disappoint a few of ya but meet Midknight Technologies Unit X9-005 Cameron Well She has been harboring a Dirty Little Secret since she made the scene a while back some of it was highly visable such as the Midknight Technologies License plate Nobody noticed the plate I guess lol Yes thats a Midknight Turbine in there. Been hiding in there every since she first appeared In this pic from the Grille Tutorial I did ya can see the Intake vanes of the Turbine Inside is a video screen with this picture on it Now ya know where she got her name. Lately I been toying around with a new hood to give her a meaner look Dunno If I'll be able to match the Candy red paint tho Been toying with the idea of a Carbon fiber decal on it

Hit it right on ya put it better than I could have thought how to pronounce it. Don't feel bad George if it hadn't been for my sister I'd never known how to pronounce it either lol Heck I wouldn't have been able to pronounce any of the names from that show lol. -
Need help with a Figure

Got her back to looking pretty again. thanks for helping me to find something to use to fix her. I was able to get Sculpey at Hobby lobby and was even cheap enough to justify getting it. A 2 oz brick cost 2 bucks well worth it even if I only needed a 1/4 oz at most lol may find more uses for the rest. -
Need help with a Figure
Rick Schmidt replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
George I'll look into that clay an see if hobby lobby has it may be my answer there Dave She was a keychain when I got her ... I find her chain all the time just not her arm lol. Don't really have a bunch of them lol The ones in the background are some Ninja Turtle toys that are about the same size I found the other day. They could take her job of standing by a car but somehow I doubt a Turtle or a Foot Ninja would have the same pleasing effect Kikyou had lol -
I have this figure of Kikyou from Inuyasha that my sister gave me. As ya can see she now has a handicap http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d143/mid...on/S7300024.jpg I Had been using her to stand by some of my cars in pictures till her arm vanished never to be seen again. We went off today to see if the store she came from had anymore but they don't, and I've peeked online with no luck. So now I guess I'm stuck with trying to make her a new arm. I have the idea I can use an arm from a Fujimi figure but have no idea how to make that sleeve. I thought of putty shaped up but wouldn't that be fragile and pretty useless for her job ?? Any ideas on this that could help me out Edit The image code thinks the pic in the link above is deleted so I just killed the code and added the link

Gas Prices - GEEZ!!
Rick Schmidt replied to E St. Kruiser50's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
1.65 here the other day when I filled up the Mustang. Now I might be able to afford to feed our Pickup hehehe. uh oh Just realized I'm slowly loosing my But it is cheaper for gas and insurance to have the Mustang than to drive the truck excuse. Dagnabbit!!! lol -
Good point Harry tho I may point out if you do go through replacing the Grilles in the lower bumper to match the upper be sure to place them over a piece of flat sheet to keep them closed up. The lower grilles are actually molded closed on the real ones so "Opening" them for realism actually would take away a bit. As I said I'd attach the matching mesh to a flat piece cut to fit then sray it all to match the upper
-
I totally understand your thought there and making a new surround would work But I'm all for using what I have And to be honest I never planned on using the stock grille to begin with cause I actually hate how it looks lol. so destroying it really didn't matter to me, and it's not like I'll plan to return the car to stock ever
-
Now for the new grille I used leftover grille mesh from a tamiya kit, but you can use material of your choice here to achieve the desired look Lay the surround out on your mesh so you can get a general idea of the size piece you will need to cut. Here's where I changed a bit. To get a Correct stock look you need to lay the mesh at an angle to achieve a diamond pattern. I forgot this on my first one but ended up pleased with it anyway and due to lack of material I am showing it done laid straight. Using the glue of your choice apply glue to the back of the surround and attach the mesh. I used Gel Superglue because it sets fast and is my standard glue. Now we need to trim the edges of the mesh down to size. I have found that after all the mods the surround seems not to want to fit and the mesh wants to get wavy. To solve this simply Sand the outer edges of the grille surround until it fits the car again. Once you have it fitting all that's needed is a light coat of flat black paint to cover the marks of reworking it. After paint you now have a new grille for your car. At this point it is up to you what to do. Leave it blank for the Bullitt look ?? Maybe add a lone pony in the center ?? Or do as I have done and use an AMT 67 Grille bar to create the Pony Package grille. See how much a difference this makes to the cars look?? We can change the cars whole attitude in just a few hours time. Stay tuned here I'll be using a few more tricks I've been told of or come up with to help you improve the current run of Revell Mustangs.
-
Ok So you have the Revell 06 Mustang GT but you want to do something a bit different to it. One simple idea is to redo the grille. All ove these forums we see GTs sporting the stock grille. Ok not bad, but we can make this better. We can do a Base style grill or even go as far as making a V6 Pony Package grille for our cars. Lets get started First you want to remove the entire molded mesh area, foglights and the Running Pony leaving only the surround using the method you prefer to remove items Depending on the style your going for you may want to keep the pony emblem. Ok we have the grille out and we are left with a rough but intact Grille surround Now you want to CAREFULLY clean up the surround to remove any remaining junk left over from cutting out the grill Now that we have the surround cleaned up we have to modify it a bit so it will still fit properly in the opening on the front bumper. We need to remove some of the backside of the surround so when we attach the mesh it all still fits the car. I cut mine down enough to remove all the area where the old grille was. Now be careful you have a very fragile piece in your hands now and one slip and you'll be hunting a new grille.

Help me with a decision, please!!!!!
Rick Schmidt replied to FloridaBoy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Who ya should be asking this question is not us, but that 59 Ford. Ask the car if it wants to be the slick mean rip roarin Custom you told it it would be when you bought it. Or does it want to remain the Laughing stock of the display cabinet when all the other cars see it with all that stuff stuck all on it. Go ahead Ask that 59 She'll talk to ya ..... all model cars speak to the builders telling us their dreams -

Rick Schmidt replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Never seen a commercial about it but I think it is their way of sayin hey come to us we can work with you we have Layaway and the other guy don't. Since Walmart done away with Layaway 2 years ago it probably leaves K mart as one of the few big dogs with it so now they are going to use it to bring folks in -
Hmmmm seems I found a pic of that old warehouse that is in a lot of my pics backgrounds. Must be from the late 50s early 60s judging by the cars in the pic. Seems that old building has been around since before Midknight owned it. Discovered my camera had a few settings hiding in it so I was playing around with it Take a look let me know what ya think

Dagnabbit dude cars got so much power ya lost control of it and wrecked the box. I'll watch this one see how it comes out

I recently decided to take on collecting 1:87 scale cars after my wife brought me a Benz and a Tatra in that scale from Germany. Found quite a few sets at Walmart in clearance so I grabbed em Got a pair of cars we can't identify nor really make out the tampo on the nose. Funny too cause we can read the Lamborghini scripts on those lol Can yall tell me what they are???
