  1. That's really impressive, Joe. What does it hook to? Are you planning on a load of some sorts?
  2. It has to do with the very strict overall length laws in Europe as opposed to the US & Canada. Once the length laws changed here in the US, cab-overs just about went extinct. You can still find them, but they are few & far between. Wal-Mart is supposed to be experimenting with a Freightliner Argosy & a 60ft trailer combination; but I think that's mostly out West.
  3. So, what's the major, work-stoping issue? Inquireing minds want to know.
  4. I do like it. That's a very nice looking Actros.
  5. Tom, I'm inclined to agree: Moebius is our logical choice for new US kits. Round2 & Revell are happy doing reissues; and Italeri seems to be reissuing kits & making new European trucks (and that's not a bad thing).
  6. Wonder if it's going to have the "LoadCraft" logos?
  7. Thanks, Joe. They sure are.
  8. The kit that I built was the Steven's International reissue, and that only had the Alcoas & the round tanks.
  9. That's a lot of hay. Some nice looking trucks, too.
  10. Mark, the APA logos came from Jerry @ Model Truckin'. As for the New Jersey plate, I got it from either The Plate Shack ( http://www.plateshack.com/ ) or Jim Moini's License Plates ( http://moini.net/ ). I can't remember. PM me your email address, and I'll send you want I have. The Mack R-model was a really nice kit to build.
  11. Looks great, Sean. Either a tanker or a flatbed would look nice.
  12. Thanks, guys. Yes, they are tiny! Here that are on my build mat: So you know, those are 1" squares. No, Tom, I build just about anything. Here's a 1/700 destroyer I did a couple of years ago. It's the USS Fletcher DD992, 1991 fit:
  13. So here's a little project I've been working on in my "spare" time. It's a pair of Sweet Aviation Models 1/144 Macchi C200AS "Saetta". Here is where I currently stand: This is from the 85° Sqadriglia 18° Gruppo Autonomo, Lybia 1942 (I'm calling this one Flight Lead because of the white wing tips & the radio antenna): And this is from the 364° Sqadriglia 150° Gruppo Autonomo, North Africa 1942:
  14. I definitely agree with you! The Autocar is great.
  15. Ok, so I don't want to ruin the movie for anybody, but what about the White/GMC that he wins at the end of the film?
  16. Thanks, I'm glad you like them. I don't have a set of doubles to hook to it, so I usually use the external post van.
  17. Sorry about that! I was on my phone When I posted that. Here's the R685ST: And here's the Cruiseliner: And here"s the pair of "single stack Macks": Hope you enjoy them. Oh, happy birthday!
  18. In 1955, the Ford F800 had a 317 cid Lincoln Y-Block rated at 155 hp at 3900 rmp.
  19. I know of an excellent source for the Mack spokes & the square tanks. Check with Daniel at Plaskit Resin. That's where I got the Mack spokes for my R685ST & Cruisliner.
  20. I think I just might. Need to find some decent 1950s wheels, though. I know where I can get the correct engine & transmission.
