  1. Thanks, Jonathan. I'm not sure I'll build another LoneStar. It was a nice build, though.
  2. Thanks! The issue with the cab wasn't all of the chrome, but with the fit of the interior into the cab shell. I dry fit the interior several times into the cab shell before I added the windows, and it was a tight fit, but manageable. Once the windows were in, the cab lost a lot of it's "flex" and the interior was quite difficult to get it. I actually had the interior disentergrate while I was trying to get it in. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper. Then, when I was adding the cab to the frame, I knocked off one of the front shocks. Not exactly sure how I did that, though. Once that happened, all of the little issues that are just part of modeling became huge stress issues. In the end, I am happy with the results, and very happy with the kit. I'm actually looking forward to the ProStar.
  3. Here are few pics of my 2011 International LoneStar for Warren Transport. I managed to finish this up last night. The cab/sleeper & hood are Testors Boyd Grape Pearl, and the frame is Dupli-Color Gloss Black. I used the Warren Transport decals from the KFS US Cab Artwork Set #1, the DOT tape is from JBOT, and the Texas license plates are from the Revell of Germany Kenworth W900. All in all, the build went well; but I must admit that the cab really gave me fits! I am quite pleased with the results. Here are a couple of shots of the engine & interior:
  4. Wikipedia not correct? Surely you jest?
  5. Some very promissing builders, there. Nice trucks.
  6. Really cool set-up. Can be used for all sorts of vehicles. Don't you mean 1895 Duryea? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duryea_Motor_Wagon_Company
  7. Amazing dash work! You are putting a lot of detial into this build. Great job.
  8. Oh, yes, the trailers show up. I was just so floored by the Cruiseliner that I forgot to comment on them.
  9. Great looking Cruiseliner! Love the details. How do you post a slideshow?
  10. Maybe that's where I saw them!
  11. It wasn't Model Car Garage. It was Scale Equipment Ltd. Sorry about that. http://www.seltd.net/ez-catalog/X344897/21?layout=system:layout_0100.xsl
  12. Check with Model Car Garage. I'm pretty sure they have something, and they're running a sale until December 15th.
  13. Can you get it without the sleeper? Tim, looking forward to your review.
  14. Like most of you, my work bench is in the basement. The only time (that I know of) that my cats did anytning on my bench is when they were chasing a mouse. Let's just say there was a lot of blood & considerable collateral damage!
  15. From what I've found, the General was offered with (2) hoods: a 116" BBC & a 108" BBC. There was also a SBFA option which is really rare. As for the engine, the 8V92N which comes in the kit was not offered as an option, but the 8V92TA was. I don't think a 12V71 would fit with the 116" BBC hood.
  16. They're actually in this thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50604
  17. The best way to post pics on this forum is to open up a Photobucket account. Once the photos are uploaded to Photobucket, you can copy the IMG postable link by hoverint over the photo & clicking on the IMG code in the dropdown. You then post that code into your post & you'll have photos in your post. Clear as mud?
