  1. Great job on the truck & the engine. Nice backstory, too.
  2. That's a cool photo. Never heard of them shipping cars this was, but it makes sense, I guess.
  3. Great looking Deamon. Very well done.
  4. Very well done. Great weathering, and nice engine conversion.
  5. Thanks, Steve. I have a couple more 1/32 tractors in the stash, so you never know!
  6. Thanks, Steve. I used to call Hank's Truck Pictures a "Black Hole of Time". ?
  7. Great looking Charger. That's a nice story. too. Always interesting to learn about unique vehicles. Wonder how much these cars are worth today?
  8. I'll do what I can, John. I'm trying to locate dome Goodyear logos for the fenders & front of the car below the turn signals (for lack of a better description). Found these for the tires. Although I'm not totally sure they'll work as the tires on the C5.R are different sizes.
  9. Started painting the yellow today, and it went surprisingly well. Used Tamiya TS-16 right from the can. I also noticed that there are no Goodyear or Goodyear Eagle tire logos on the decal sheet.
  10. Great looking Bison. Very well done. How did you do the "Bison" on the side of the hood? Last time I checked with Jerry he didn't have Bison decals.
  11. Cool Malibu. Very well done.
  12. Here is my completed Revell 1/32 Fruehauf Reefer trailer. It is essentially box-stock with the exception of the 10-hole disks from the Monogram Fruehauf Tanker Trailer. The main color is Rust-oleum Semi Gloss White, and the wheels & rear doors are Rust-oleum Chrome. Reefer unit is Tamiya Gloss Pure White. Also, since The Polar Ice Company is located in Troy, MI, I put a Michigan plate from the Model Truckin’ Chemical Leaman decal sheet on the trailer. Here it is being pulled by the Monogram Kenworth T600A I finished in 2008: And here it is behind the Revell Ford LTLA9000 Aeromax my son built in 2012: Riddle me this: why do the Revell-Monogram 1/32 trailers have a big ole’ kingpin while some of the tractors have fifth wheels with pins sticking out of them?
  13. A very long time ago, I purchased the Monogram 1/32 Mack “R” Conventional & Fruehauf Tanker. It’s a nicely detailed snap kit, and for the most part went together well. That’s an awful lot of tape, glue, & rubber bands for a snap kit. The kit came with stickers to detail the tractor & trailer, so those had to go. I picked up some Chemical Leaman decals from Model Truckin’, & I was in business. Revell graciously provided the decal sets from their recent reissues of the Mack & tank trailer. The kit came with 10-hole disks all around, so I swapped them for spokes from the Mack C600 fire truck (Thanks, Greg.) & the Fruehauf reefer. I also bobbed the front bumper & corrected the fit of the rear mud flaps. Fleet Unit Number on the tractor is from Microscale, the Pennsylvania license plate on the tractor was downloaded from Rick Kretschmer’s License Plate Archive, and the Pennsylvania plate on the trailer is from The License Plate Shack. I also made the little bracket for the DOT hazmat placard on the rear of the trailer. I don’t know if Chemical Leaman ever hauled gasoline, or used this type of trailer, but they do now! Color is Testors Dark Blue. Here are some of my inspiration photos from Hank’s Truck Pictures (remember them?): Here is the model. Enjoy! Interior: "Engine:

  16. Great looking Audi. Very well done.
  17. Beautiful Porsche. Very well done.
  18. Great looking Lotus. Very well done.
  19. Thanks, guys. I appreciate the help. This is kind of what I figured. @Rich Chernosky So far the kit is going together well, but I am coming up on my nemesis: painting yellow! ?
