    well at work we got 4 of those paccar engines 485 hp and at 4.5 miles to the gallon compared to my 1990 425 cat at 6.5 you do the math..old is better...

    i build chassis at work for big trucks and it is from center front wheel to center between the two rears

    look up cat engine power for trains..yes 3400 series but that is got like 500 hp.and a electric throttle control

    1988 was the first year for ataac..you need to change the pump so that it is a the front with out the long shaft

    i used one from a cab over and with minor mods made a mp8 for a mack ch613 that im building

    and there is a few volvo cab over kits so you can get the motor and make a nice detailed kit..and also gary from gw trucks offers a real nice daycab conversion
