  1. Thanks, Tom! I may look for one of those.
  2. LOL Casey! Just out of curiousity, what scale is that thing? It looks like it would be real easy to get one. (NOT!)
  3. Thanks, Bill. That was my first thought, but I wanted to see any ideas. Also, those Del Ray kits can be a little pricey, although I would go there if that was the best choice.
  4. What kit would you start with to make a four door sedan? I have a friend that had one many years ago. I don't know if it was a Bel Air or something else, and it probably doesn't matter. I'm not really sure it was a four door, but I'm guessing it was. Any suggestions?
  5. I want one of those Ford GTs bad, but they seem to be unobtainium!
  6. Check out California Air Tools. I have been using their 2010A for a couple of years now, and am very happy with it. It's quiet, and has the same virtues as the one Snake mentioned. They also make smaller units that may fit your size and budget better.
  7. Very nicely done!
  8. Thanks, Spike! I don't remember the kit you refer to, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
  9. Thanks, Pete! I know what you mean about tinnitus. When I was a kid we had a 3020 with no cab, and that was nice. But my uncle had a 2510 with a tin cab and no A/C. That thing was more of an amplifier than protection. After a long day in that, my only response to a question was "Huh?".
  10. Thanks, Bruce! I was lucky to find this one at a local auction for a reasonable price.
  11. Thanks Greg! I did put an SMV on it, but not until after I took these pix. Our tractor never left the farm, so it didn't need one, but I put it on the model to cover up those two big holes in the back of the cab.
  12. This is to represent a tractor we had here on the farm for many years. It is the AMT/Ertl "John Deere 4430" kit. This is not 100% accurate, because I didn't make all the alterations (mostly engine) to convert a 4430 to a 4040. I did make some changes. The kit comes with a full glass cab, while ours just had a canopy, so that required some alteration. I changed the control levers to reflect the Powershift transmission ours had. Our tractor had a full rack of suitcase weights on the front, so I made those. New decals for "John Deere" and "4040". I spent many hours with my butt in the seat of this thing, so now I'll have something to remember it by. Thanks for looking.
  13. Very nicely done!
  14. Very nice!
  15. Thanks, Bob! I used to think the F-18 was kinda funny looking. But now, and certainly in this livery, I agree it is a nice looking plane.
