  1. That is absolutely amazing!
  2. Why have car designers decided it is a good idea to design cars that you can't see out of? My Focus is horrible. Everywhere you look there is a headrest or a post in the way. I have looked at a lot of other cars, and most seem to be no better. With the tendency of so many drivers to ride along in your passenger side blind spot, it would be nice to be able to turn your head and see them. The stupid "objects are closer" mirror, and the tiny "blind spot mirror" are no help. I realize they've started adding blind spot monitors and backup cameras, but those wouldn't be necessary if you could actually see around you. OK, rant over.
  3. That's a very clean and well detailed model. Great job!
  4. I hear ya, Bill. I can't wait for those tomatoes.
  5. I had a Gilbert racing set (even tho I asked for Strombecker) with two E-type Jags. It worked OK but was kind of a pain to set up because of the way the metal strips joined.
  6. For me it's the garden. Right now it's kale madness. I just cut a bushel, and that's after cutting it way back one week ago. So now I'm freezing kale like there's no tomorrow. Sure will taste good in the winter, tho. Soon it will be cucumber madness, then beet madness, then tomato madness, etc. I'm not complaining, it's all some fine eatin', and I sure do like to eat!
  7. I like it. Very clean and nicely detailed.
  8. This idea is not original with me, rather a tip I picked up along the way. Wear a white cotton glove when handling a painted body. It makes a huge difference!
  9. Not sure about copper or aluminum, but K&S brass rod bends much better if you anneal it first. Heat it up to red hot then let it cool slowly.

    eldorado.

    Nice!
  11. I realize I am way late mentioning this, but the next time you're somewhere that sells fishing tackle, (even Walmart), take a look at steel fishing leaders. They are braided stainless steel, and come in a variety of sizes. I've been quietly following your work, and enjoying it very much. You're doing a fantastic job!
  12. That got a major belly laugh, Bill. Good one!
  13. Looks good! Nice paint, and your BMF looks pretty good for a first try. Those wheel arches are hard to do!
  14. That's cool and nicely done. Not totally sleepy, tho. The hood pins and side exhaust kinda give it away. The engine looks awesome, got any close-ups?
  15. Love that '57! The new grille and the shaved trim make it look really mean. Am I seeing ghost flames, or is that just a photo thing?
  16. Thanks, Mike!
  17. Nice! I have this kit in my "to do" pile. How is it to build?
  18. Thanks, Oscar.
  19. Thanks, Chris and Lloyd!
  20. I'm glad it worked out, Jon.
  21. Could it have been the one I posted on page 3 of this thread?
  22. A great way to make a first impression. Really well done.
  23. Thanks, Carl!
