  1. Thanks for the offer, Bill. I'll let you know if I need more info. I didn't see your pictures earlier, the car and your model both look great!
  2. Thanks, Bill. Your friend sure is lucky to have that car. Not only valuable but cool!
  3. Thanks, Bill. Did you get a look at the underside of your friend's car? I have not found any images of that. I'm thinking red oxide primer and black frame rails. Does that sound right?
  4. Thanks, Art, and thanks for your contribution to developing this kit. It looks like it's gonna be a good one.
  5. Thanks, Bill! That's the best pic I've seen so far. Also, thanks for calling out the plug wire covers as black. In some images they look like chrome.
  6. I'm getting ready to start the Moebius '56 300B. I want to do the engine stock, but haven't found any good images of the engine colors. Most have the block, heads, oil pan, and intake manifold in gray, with gold valve covers and air cleaner. Is this correct? How about the transmission: iron, or block color paint? Thanks!
  7. You did a nice job detailing that interior. I know what you mean, I hated to close up the fuselage on mine as well. At least you have the pix to prove it. Revell does make the one with a clear fuse half, but having the whole exterior finished looks good too. If you have an empty corner somewhere, a corner shelf is another option for display. Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing the finished product!
  8. Thanks, Tom.
  9. Nice replica, Ray. I bet that was fun to drive.
  10. Thanks, Dann.
  11. Nice Jim! Pearl Ex is fun, don't ya think? Merry Christmas.
  12. Harry and Sam, thanks for showing this kit can be built nicely. I have the kit and have been a little leery of it. Plus, it's good to see that blonde with the pony tail painted. I thought she seemed a little small, but she looks just fine sitting there. (She and her gentleman friend come in the kit, BTW)
  13. Ford and Chevy together....Sacrilege! How do you know it's not a Catang? Looks great!
  14. I have the Bob Smith Industries, available at HL. Two ounce plastic bottle, one each of resin and hardener. There are probably others.
  15. Thank you Alan, Stephen, and Tony.
  16. I use five minute epoxy for paint to paint and chrome to paint gluing. It does not react with paint or chrome at all. It's thick enough that it's easy to control, and sticky enough that it usually doesn't require clamping or holding. I think it's a bit stronger bond than PVA. I only use PVA (Testors Clear Parts Cement) for headlights and tail lights. The down side of the fast epoxy is that you only have time to attach a couple of parts before it starts to cure and becomes useless. I end up mixing several small batches to do final assembly, especially if there is a lot of chrome to attach. P.S. I made a post a while back complaining about the mess from leaking epoxy tubes. It was suggested that I get the epoxy that comes in small bottles. I have been very happy with that solution.
  17. Amazing work! How did you do the chrome bezels around the guages? They look perfect.
  18. You're thinking of the Pinto.
  19. Awesome! Beautifully done.
  20. That Olds is great. Fantastic engine detail!
  21. You're gonna be a very busy fella to get all those done in one year!
  22. Wayne, the green on the '09 Challenger is Testors square bottle "Brilliant Lime".
  23. Thanks, fellas!
