  1. LOL, I was waiting for that!
  2. This one is mostly a paint experiment, that surprisingly worked out. The body paint is Testors square bottle "Turn Signal Amber" over a white base. It gave a nice metallic/pearl effect. Unfortunately, the ol' December sun isn't strong enough to really show the "sparkle". The top is Tamiya "Racing White". It's the Revell "California Wheels" kit, pretty much OOB except changing the wheels and tires.
  3. Nice work! I love these cars. It was the first car I ever bought, and I have many great memories of it.
  4. That looks good! Is that R/T in the background yours too? I did the Revell kit as an R/T in Sublime. I have that Monogram kit, I'll have give it a try. Nice work.
  5. Nice clean model. Well done.
  6. Fantastic! The detailing, detail painting, and weathering are just right. Well done!
  7. If this helps you, I had a carburetor ultrasonically cleaned, and I had to remove all plastic or rubber parts first. They said the cleaner would destroy them.

    60 Impala

    Very nice!
  9. Every detail looks fantastic. Are you gonna add some fuel for it? Does it run on coal or firewood?
  10. I know what you mean, Bill. My Focus doesn't even have an engine! You open the hood and there's nothin' but plastic and hoses and wires and stuff, no engine to be seen!
  11. I agree with Skip. I especially like the way the seat is worn from long term butt contact.
  12. Other good Lindberg kits are the F-150s and the late model Chargers.
  13. Wow! That's a knockout!
  14. That makes sense to me.
  15. If you can use something other than acrylics, Model Master Lacquer spray "White Lightning" is a nice white pearl.
  16. If you fill the inside with modelling clay and stick them down to a flat surface, you could pour RTV over them and make a one part mold. The parts you cast would then be solid, not hollow, and you might have to sand the mating surfaces flat. I've heard that you need to put a flat cap on the mold after you pour in the resin or the resin won't cure properly. If you want them hollow you will have to leave them apart and make a two part mold.

  18. Awesome work! I would have believed it is 1:1. Everything looks totally real.
  19. Absolutely gorgeous! Nicely done in every way.
  20. Looks great!
  21. That looks great! What did you use to heat the sprue with?
  22. Wow! Really nice in every way!
  23. The precision needed to cut two parallel lines of equal depth on such a small piece.....very impressive indeed.
  24. I've done it on aircraft using artist's charcoal. If you want it really black, just rub the charcoal on it. If you want to do shading, rub the charcoal on some sandpaper, and apply the dust with a brush.
  25. What the heck language is that, Martian? PM sent.
